Every child is special and each one is an individual and here at Briarcliff Child Care Center we ensure we tailor the care we provide to suit each child. We know all parents want the very best of everything for their children, especially child care and we strive to be that Center that meets all of a doting parent's needs.
Services
At this stage in a child's life, they rely on learning through their five senses, using their hands to explore their surroundings. They begin to develop trust, begin to socialize through smiling. As they begin to communicate their needs, children develop self-confidence, they begin to understand that words have meaning and people will respond to their sounds.
At 12 months, children explore their environment more and are increasingly purposeful to find the meaning in events, objects and words as they attempt to discover how the world around them works. They develop a sense of identity and self and begin to realise their own individuality. They understand the power of words and the importance of written words and develop a vocabulary.
They begin to think for themselves, and work out problems mentally rather than through trial and error. They begin to develop stronger social bonds and their communication and reading skills. Vocabulary, memory and speech are increased by labelling items in books and asking questions. Physically eye-hand; co-ordination, pre-writing skills, large muscle skills and gross motor skills are increasing.
Children are able to symbolically represent objects they focus on one aspect of a situation, and reason of a situation and reason from particular to particular. Their peers become increasingly important and they see the need to develop a positive self concept. Children also begin to think out loud and talk themselves through situations.
Parents Date Night takes place on the last Friday of each month unless otherwise noted. For a well deserved night out, please register your child for our Parent Night out evenings. The children have a fun evening of a nutritious but fun dinner, a movie and bed time stories. Every other Tuesday 3pm - 4.30pm Music Enrichment Classes at Belle Isle & N. Druid Hills Locations (Free).

My daughter loved Briarcliff so much! She attended for 4years and every single day was such a joy for us. I always felt safe dropping her off and even on days off, when I would want to stay home with her, she would start asking for her friends and teachers and wanting to go to school. I highly recommend Briarcliff Child Care.

Communication regarding infectious diseases is severly lacking to the point to where a family member was said goodbye to forever. When the beginning of a stomach bug outbreak took place, as a father, I would want to know there is something going on at the site, even when my child is not there. Despite having my child one as of the first to catch the stomach bug, there was no communication from Executive Directors informing parents at all and thus seemingly encouraging parents to get their kids sick and take it home with them. They claimed to have put up signs around the site but what good does

Wonderful staff! Professional clean and GREAT location! My husband and I are excited for our toddler to start here this fall. We looked at over 4 different locations (stressful) and when we greeted the director, she put our nerves at ease. She answered our questions and introduced us to several of the teachers. Thank you!!!

The staff at Briarcliff is amazing! They truly care about children. My youngest is now 15 months and a challenging little lady, and I love to see her readily go to her teacher. It really shows how much they must work to make a connection with each child. My oldest is almost 3 and very strong-willed, but his teachers have been very patient and kind to him. Briarcliff is just full of wonderful people that give me confidence in my children's care every day!

This day care could be worse, but our experience is not nearly as good as the other yelp reviews might lead one to believe. This is for the North Druid Hills location, which suffers from being hard to get to/from at rush hour. Inside the building it smells a bit like a doctor's office. The rooms are crowded, with more children per room than other day cares have for the same age group. In December, this ended up (in all likelihood) leading to lots of kids getting sick. The fingerprint system to check children in or out on their Ipad often didn't work for us, and there was often no employee

I worked at the N Druid hills location as both a teacher and later as a director for over a year and a half. I recently moved and leaving this daycare was definitely bittersweet! As a certified teacher and a strong person for what I believe is right and wrong I would have never worked there if I didn't believe all those kids were in the best hands. It starts from the owner and her true believe of what a safe loving environment is and even having her own kids attend there to the teachers that are loving and experienced. This was one of my best work experiences and making that place feel like

This daycare has two locations, one on Belle Isle Cir. and the other one of North Druid Hills Rd which is the one my kids are attending. My twins have been in this daycare for almost 2 months and since we are moving, we will have to change them to another daycare which makes us feel very sad. We had a horrible experience at another school in the area, so we visited some schools/daycare in the area and this was the one that we liked the most. This is not the cheapest nor the more expensive and everything is clean and new since they opened this location recently, so you won't see nasty carpets
