TWO MEN AND A TRUCK started in the early 1980s as a way for two brothers to make extra money while they were in high school. Now, more than 35 years later, the company has grown to more than 380 locations worldwide. Brothers Brig Sorber and Jon Sorber started moving people in the Lansing area using an old pickup truck.
They had their mom, Mary Ellen Sheets, develop a logo to put in a weekly community newspaper. That stick-men logo still rests on every truck, sign and advertisement. After the brothers left for college, Sheets continued to field calls for moving services while she also worked a full-time data processing job with the State of Michigan.

I recently used Two Men and a Truck to move some antique furniture from one house to another house. The office first gave me a window that the team would arrive, then I got a call from one of the men giving me an ETA.... which was within the originally quoted time. I received a second call from the men saying they'd be to my location in 30 minutes - again, within the quoted time. The two guys arrived when they said they would, and quickly loaded my antiques into there truck, I then followed them to my second location, (about 15 minutes away), and they quickly unloaded my items, and placed them

Two men and truck helped me move from Houston to Dayton. The guys that showed up to load my things were great. They numbered all the boxings and belonging and went through the list with me. The movers that unloaded the truck in Dayton were equally as professional. All my things made it from A to B. And I paid less than what the other moving companies quoted me.

William, Marco and Zach were amazing the day of my rescheduled move! From my experience and estimate it would take 5.5-6 hours, they took 4 hours to move my 2 bed/2 bath condo locally with GREAT CARE. And there was a flight of stairs too! I also want to thank Kathi and Sarah in the office as well as Zach and Austin who came to move me the first time and offered to reschedule. This was the relief I needed that Saturday morning when I mentioned my new place wasn’t clean and ready yet due to new construction. Words cannot even express how grateful I am to Two Men and a Truck for how they handle my furniture and delivered my furniture to its new location, their professionalism was by far the most amazing experience I have ever had with a moving truck company. Kris and Jason in my opinion are highly recommended for anyone who is looking forward to using or have never used this company. (not to mention their both cute lol) if I were to ever move again I'm definitely using this company again. If I could give this company more than 5 stars I definitely would have.

When we needed to do a second trip, the office sent another truck and 2 more guys. George was awesome. We got it all done without a hitch, will definitely use them again and recommend highly.

As a Realtor, I cannot recommend these guys enough! They worked SO hard for 9 hours, barely taking a break, right at what they quoted price wise, with 3 stops (current house, storage unit, and rental), and they had awesome advice for how to transport/store delicate items without damage. They also had solid advice on how to arrange items in the new space without having to move them later! I HIGHLY recommend Austin (Team Leader), David, Grant, and Adam. Moving? 2 Men and a Truck all the way!!! (Or in our case 4 Men and 2 Trucks). Thanks again guys!!! - We will DEFINITELY be asking you to help us

If I could give 0 stars I would. Where do I begin? The movers they sent to my home damaged several pieces of furniture, set my mattress in a puddle of water, and dropped a TV on the edge and shattered the screen.
Their claims processor is very non-responsive unless you contact the corporate office. And they offered us 1/3 the value of the items they destroyed. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!
Edit: some of the unprofessional behavior we experienced: my husband actually did as much work as any of the movers since they kept dragging stuff on the ground. They were nice guys, but I want paying to watch a nice

Do not use this company for your move. They will be very price competitive, but that is where the good ends. They were late for their originally scheduled start time. Their movers moved like molasses. They did not pack items well meaning they did not place packing material around fragile items such as pictures. I had to assist them in packing items at the end of the day as a result of their lack of moving with any purpose throughout the day. They were nearly four hours behind the delivery. Noone likes to move, that's assumed.
And noone likes having to haul heavy boxes and awkward shaped things in and out from an event, either.
I have not moved residences in 19 years, so in that regard, I feel for you if you're reading this because your life is relocating elsewhere.
But I frequently manage events that have a lot of logistical supplies and just stuff that have to be loaded in and out. For years, the younger me tried to do everything all on my own, packing my Toyota SUV to the gills and making however many trips I had to. Then

When we were fully moved into our new house we realized that all of our wine glasses somehow didn't make it, a bottle of Lortab from my wife's C-section was missing and the Tiffany necklace I bought her for our wedding was also missing. Be careful who you select for your move and keep an eye on your belongings.

I chose this company because I knew them from "back home" in Ann Arbor, MI. My friend Travis worked for the company for several years. I am a huge fan of the charity work you're involved in as a company, and you support causes close to my heart. You provide much needed services to survivors of domestic violence, and I myself once was in such a position as to need help moving because of domestic abuse. Your workers treated my stuff like it was their stuff, and were positive thru the whole move. I'll always use this company, tho I hope not to need to for a decade or two :) Thanks

The Franklin office of Two Men and a Truck did a great job with my recent move. I had two large storage units filled to the brim with furniture and boxes. I had two trucks and five men for the job. They were all professional, had good attitudes, and worked quickly. They moved everything to my new home and were very careful not to scratch anything. They treated all of my belongings with care and put my two beds together. They completed the job in less time than estimated. I would use them again and recommend their services.

I was quoted a price for an additional trailer if my load exceeded what the estimator quoted. I did not know it was a rented U Haul that was filthy dirty. I was charged $100.00 more than quoted. I was promised that my furniture would be wrapped and padded. Upon arrival at the new residence the trailer was opened. My new white leather headboard was torn and covered in almost an ash substance. It had not been protected at all. They did not wrap my mattresses as promised and were also delivered dirty and torn. On top of all that they tracked in the black substance all over my new carpeting
