Mike Sheppard has been working in the garage door service and installation industry for 10 years. He has owned his own company for 7 years. He is based out of Milford, Ohio. He has two young children, and we pride ourselves on being a family-owned business. Mike's brother, Rick, and two nephews- Ricky and Justin, complete our current team of employees.

The likely culprit is an obstruction in the path of the door. Check for and clear any obstruction in the path of the door. If the problem persists, check to see if the red safety beam LED indicator is blinking. If it is, check to be sure that the lenses are mounted 6 from the floor on either side of the garage door opening.

My parents were getting up in age and I wanted to do something that would be beneficial for them and that was installing a garage door opener. They needed safe passage from the garage to the house and not have to trek through bad weather. Mike gave us a very fair price and an extremely quick installation. My parents were thrilled and it gives me peace of mind as well.

I had Mike replace my garage door torsion spring in June. Less than 2 months later my garage door opener needed replaced, which he warned it would due to "not being powerful enough". After replacing the opener with a motor that has more than double the horsepower the motor still struggles. I did some digging and it appears Mike did not ensure my door was balanced properly after replacing the torsion spring. Now I will need to pay another company to balance the door on top of the $400 I already paid him....

I was trying to leave for work one day and could not get out of my garage. The door would not open and I had no idea what the problem was but knew it was beyond my ability to fix. My neighbor quickly recommended Mike's to me and I gave them a call. Justin came out within the hour and fixed the problem. I know who I will be going to in the future if I ever need them.

On Sunday, November 21st, I came home and the garage door would not open. It was the spring that broke. We called several garage door repair companies and Mike's was the only one that could come out that day. They sent a service man out within the hour. He could have replaced the spring that day. We decided to get a new garage door installed. They had to order and they would be able to install it on Tuesday, November 30th. The service man helped us get the garage door open in order to get our truck out. Today, November 30th Austin & Joey came and installed our new garage door. It looks fantastic

Mike determined that the repair would require multiple technicians and he had a crew out early the next morning and had our door back on the tracks and working better than ever. The technicians were prompt, courteous, and skillful. The price of the repair pleasantly surprised us. We’re incredibly pleased.

The garage door was stuck in the open position and I had concerns about our safety since it was connected to the house and I am a single mother with teenage daughters. Mike understood and made a special late night call for us. He managed to fix it and when I wanted to tip him something extra but he refused it. What a wonderful man he is.

Suffice to say, dishonest and rude. They answered my call to repair one of my double door garage on 7.7.2021. They came and assessed that the rollers needed changing. Charged me $540 for new rollers for 2 double door garages and adjusting the spring of one which took 2 men 30 minutes. They then informed me that the opener motors for my 2 double door garages may not last long and quoted me $800 for both should I need to change them. 2 days later, one of the opener motors totally conked out. Called them and they told me it will be $1,000 plus for both motors. When I told them I was quoted

This guy is a criminal. Will quote you 139 for a torsion spring etc. then comes and robs you blind. Tech told us it was a crashed door. Took the guy 30 minutes to reset our spring and reattach one cable to a drum. Couple sprays of lube and he has on his way. Who the F& makes 800 dollars an hour in labor? Starts to tell me about carnal knowledge... umm carnal knowledge? Then starts to tel me about how his guys learn from him and he is the best in the industry and can run circles around everyone!

Had a bad spring and Mike was able to come out next morning to fix. He and another person showed up and performed the work quickly and to satisfaction.
As previously mentioned in a review, they did show up early. It ended up working out best for my schedule, so I didn't ding them any stars...plus, I've dealt with my fair share of contractors, repair and service techs. I'll take early over late any day.
The initial quote was just to replace a spring. Upon arrival we were told both springs needed replaced. He also recommended replacing the rollers. Came out to $350 total.

Today. Your work was commendable and your pricing reasonable. I was told by other garage door companies I needed a whole new door $1200 fix but Mike's assures me otherwise and my door is like new. So quiet I can't hear it go up when In the house. Not only was the wok great but they saved my several hundred dollars. If and when the replacement time comes or I'm asked who I use for repairs I would 1000% recommend Mike's Garage Door.

An appointment was made for 2 p.m. in the afternoon and no technician arrived. When I called it in at 2:30 to see if they were just running late I was told that the technician wanted to come out at noon but no one answered. When I stated that my appointment was for 2 because I was unavailable prior to that the person on the phone stated that if they run ahead they move your appointment up without notice. I make no judgement on the quality of their work, only that they are unprofessional in their appointment keeping.

Mike came out and had our door fixed within 2 hours of our call to him. He had all of the replacement parts needed with him in his truck and was able to explain and show why each part needed replacing. The door and new opener is working wonderfully! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I fully recommend Mike - you will be extremely happy with his service.

Came out the next day, on time but did not have all the parts to complete the job although the business owner advised that they would when booking. Prices are fair and work was completed the same day; however, trucks should be fully stocked to avoid the hassle of waiting for the repairman to go purchase the supplies. Repairman was nice, but could use some training in customer service. He asked to use my tenant's personal cell phone instead of calling me directly at the number provided the day before. All in all, good company but needs to brush up on the details of customer care and how minor
