Jessie's passion for skincare and healing inspired her to work as an esthetician. She believes in skincare based on wellness, and a long term approach of customized daily regimens to achieve radiance from the inside out. Our boutique serves as a community space for all to gather and receive beautifying treatments. We like to consider ourselves "the ladies barbershop". We aren't just a boutique, we're a place to chat, connect and vibe out. Although, instead of tending to the hair on your head, we're tending to hair elsewhere, and to the largest organ of the body - the skin.
Different modalities are incorporated depending on the current state of your skin, and state of mind. All of our facials are built upon the foundational facial and are luxurious in their own way. Each facial includes cleansing, steaming, warm compresses, neck + shoulder massage, lymphatic drainage, exfoliation, decongesting of pores, masking, ampoules, facial sculpting, and finishing products.
Created to capture the essence of Pono Boutique in a virtual Zoom experience, Pono in a Box features a full at home facial kit, and is lead by Pono's creator and master esthetician, Debra Carvalho. Great for personal events and professional team building, Pono in a Box has been booked by companies like GoogleX, Sales Force, LinkedIn, Twitter and Twitch.

Pono Boutique is on my way home from BART, and I am so glad I stumbled in. I went to Debra for a brow wax. She's a gem. She's so warm and friendly, and talked me through what she was planning on doing with my brows, and then went to work. At the end, she talked me through her decisions and made sure I was happy with them - such attention to detail! I have thick brows, and she cleaned them up and kept their fullness. So so glad I stopped by, and scheduling was a breeze!

I LOVE PONO!!!! Debra and her team are all so talented and lovely and professional. The salon feels like home... comfy furnishings, jazz playing in the background, rose', tea and chocolates always available. This is a true Glen Park gem!!! The facials are outstanding and I can always get in for a last minute brow and lash tint. Can't say enough good things about PONO!!!!

Truly lovely skin boutique. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened, and finally made my way in. The space is charming and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. I had two appointments with Debra, who was professional, super friendly, and made sure that everything was going well. Will definitively be back and try more services.

Debra is wonderful.
I saw her a few days ago to shape my crazy eyebrows. I haven't touched them in over 6 months after another esthetician destroyed them by taking too much off and ruining the shape. I've seen several different "brow artists" who really never gave me the shape I asked for.
Debra was sensitive to exactly what I told her and checked in several times and even as far as asking about tiny individual hairs and if I wanted to remove them or keep them. You can tell she knows exactly what she is doing and honestly for the first time I knew exactly what she was going

I'm a redhead and I have been getting my eyebrows and lashes tinted for 10+years.
For the past 3 it's been at Benefit, but I'm tired of the chaos, the sickly sweet pink decor and my favorite esthetician is never available anymore. Enter Pono- Debra did a great job, she's chill and friendly. And she favors rich golds and earth tones and organics. It' a bit more pricy than the brow factory that is benefit, but I'm happy to pay for a calm atmosphere, high end product and a location that is so so close to my commute route!
