Abby and Frank Santos started No Ka Oi Plants on Kauai in 1977. They were lucky enough to be doing what they loved - providing and maintaining natural beauty for commercial and resort customers - and are still doing that today. Today, No Ka Oi Landscape Services employs more than 60 team members committed to the same things that drew Frank and Abby to the industry all those years ago.
Our employees are experts in the field, passionate about the Kauai landscape, skilled at identifying issues in the landscape, and armed with a keen eye for detail. No Ka Oi Landscape Services is rooted in the Hawaiian values of respect for people and aina, protection of resources, and love for family.

Services
No Ka Oi means "the best" in Hawaiian, and we make sure our clients' landscapes look the best every day. No Ka Oi Landscape Services is Kauai's best commercial landscape company. Our services include landscape design, installation, maintenance, and enhancements for Kauai resorts, hotels, condominiums, retail centers, restaurants, and more.
A beautifully maintained landscape does more than just look good. Curb appeal can mean different things to different properties; for some of our clients, it's the luxury a customer feels at a shopping mall, which may translate to the amount of money they'll spend while they're there. For others, it's the red carpet welcome or perfect photo backgrounds for their guests' tropical vacation.
No Ka Oi is focused on maintenance: 80 percent of the work we do is landscape care, which means we can not only transform a landscape into one of the beautiful gardens Kauai is famous for - but we can also help keep it that way over time. No Ka Oi means "the best" in Hawaiian, and we make sure our clients' landscapes look the best every day.
We often reflect on the meaning of No Ka Oi, which translates to "the best" in Hawaiian. We pride ourselves on the standard of work we put in every day. It shows, not just in our clients' landscapes, but in the knowledge of our team and the sustainable solutions we employ.

No Ka Noise. Noisy, noisy, noisy. Old broken down equipment with no mufflers? These guys used to be the best, but rather than do the job right, they are just cut cut cutting things with noisy saws, then blowing blowing blowing with old noisy blowers. Yes, those things should be outlawed. Their people just don't care. Their people have ear protection. I'm trying to nap on a warm afternoon.....Suddenly, without warning, CCCRRRRRSSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Oh, must have been a couple little leaves on the concrete driveway. Bad Bad Bad.........Next time I'm going to Maui...........
