I was so pleased to make my home with University Suites for the better part of two years. The staff has been professional and courteous since day one and has always responded to inquiries or maintenance requests promptly and kindly. The price is unbeatable for being fully furnished and functional, and the complex provides the perfect balance of a social atmosphere with a quiet, homey one!
I've had my share of unpleasant rental experiences and renting from The Suites was certainly not one of them!

Services
The complex features spectacular views of surrounding mountains and the Tuckaseigee River. University Suites and The Villas are located one half mile from campus. The Villas II adjoins the campus. Our units were designed to meet both the the needs of the student and the professional.
The Studio and 1 bedroom apartments are perfect for the grad student and the professional that needs a second home in Cullowhee and the student who wants a quiet place of their own.The 2 and 4 bedroom apartments are great for the student. If you don't have a roommate we will find one for you. Our individual lease agreements make living here comparable and in many cases less in price to living on campus.

I came to University Suites in 2010 as a 40-something year old transfer student from Isothermal Community College in Rutherford County. I had spent over 20 years as a homemaker, raising my three children and homeschooling them. They became wonderful young adults and I became divorced, and figured it was my turn to get an education.

Like many others on this list, I made a deposit at initial move in and after having a sublet they rebounded with "its a nonrefundable deposit." Tried charging over $200 in damages, which i sent pictures of the apartment from before and after moving in. Nothing was changed, exactly the way it was left. Electricity never made sense, how did a month i was home constantly be $50 and a month i was gone for winter break be $180?
The final and most hilarious action, was over a year after moving out trying to claim i owed over a $1000 to them. Ginger, if still there, is a terrible person and the owner

My daughter had a great move in and loves this place. The staff and owner's are very responsive and a pleasure to work with. The apartments are very well kept. I am also very appreciative that they listened to me when I told them about a puppy dog boy who wanted to stay excessively with his girlfriend in the apartments, and they made him leave. It put my daughter and me at ease that they were concerned enough with everyone's safety and well-being to not let this happen. Thank you!

I lived in the Villas II, which is under the same owner, as well as, I was allowed to use the gym and pool at The Suites and Villas I. I loved living there. I had noise neighbors that fought a lot, but that's just a part of life. The apartment was really nice and had a great location. I have been studying aboard and Ginger has been working with me to get me a place back in the same building. We've had problems in the past, but we worked through them quickly and we have a good relationship with each other. She treats me well as a resident and the mutual respect for one another makes a big difference

This place was awful to live at. The management is a joke. Honestly would rather live anywhere rather than the suites. And when I left I cleaned everything but my roommate was still living there and they charged me my entire deposit and then sent me a bill for the remaining cleaning fees. I strongly suggest nobody ever do business with them.

One of the worst places to stay in Cullowhee for WCU students. Horrible management that puts on a smile to lure you in, it's ok for the most part but they are horrible when it comes to money, say goodbye to your security deposit. Think about how much money you're going to pay for that small bedroom and they say you are not actually renting out the common area, which is unacceptable.
