Raagini, the name means something different to everyone, per their imagination. To some, it means symphony or "raaga, " the Indian classical music that is centuries old, but always fresh and relaxing. Pundit Ravi Shankar has mesmerized millions around the globe with its spell. To others, Raagini represents the most gracious woman with poise, elegance, valor and kindness, all in the form of a beaut.

Authentic Indian food, South Shore Nassau County. The quality of the ingredients is apparent with each bite and the wait staff is attentive without being intrusive.
I appreciate the decor, which is subtle, unlike other Indian restaurants I have been to, which tend often to be gaudy.
Slices of vibrant South Asian cuisine on the South Shore add spice to a scene that threatens to become stale without it.

Very authentic and delicious Indian food. I always order the Bhindi masala (okra), my family likes the biryani, samosas, the butter chicken, garlic naan and saag (the one with lentils). All is consistently good. Just be very specific about how mild you want the food because it was a little spicy a couple of times. The spices are always fresh and it tastes very much like homemade Indian cooking.

I live nearby and really want to like this place. But their food is just disappointing. My husband and I are huge fans of Indian food. We moved from Queens where there is an abundance of authentic places. So we were excited about Raagini at first.
So we have eaten at Raagini once in person and ordered take out 3-4 times. Eating in person the food was a lot better than take out. Idk why but the quality of take out is so low, I don't want to eat here again. This past Friday we ordered sag paneer (super watery, tasted like frozen spinach reheated with cream). And it gave me an upset stomach

Truly this is by far the best Indian restaurant in Long Island! Their food is absolutely incredible. Authentic and truly delicious! Raj, our waiter, was incredible. So friendly and helpful. He explained everything clearly and took such good care. I highly recommend!!! If i could give 10 stars, I would!

Big disappointment - 1 and done! As someone who is half Indian and knows her way around Indian food, this place fell short, way short. My husband and I went on a Friday night and should have known something was up as there wasn't a soul in the restaurant. Ordered pakoras and samosas for appetizer. The pakoras were anemic in flavor and portion. Samosas were ok. The condiments, green chutney and tamarind were like water and came in tiny cups where we had to ask for more 3 times, you would think the guy would just bring a proper serving. Prices were high for location/abiance /food quality

Great delivery and presentation. Everything arrived secure - no spilling. We got two entrees, veggie korma and paneer saag, and we got 2 meals out of both. The garlic naan was large and came perfectly seasoned (and NOT burnt). The rice was cooked to perfection. Overall impressed with the flavors, presentation, and price!

Service efficient that I should say... the food was great and fulfilling. Indian food always has the right spice to wow your taste buds and you can find that here. We had the Bombay Crab Cakes and the Gobhi Manchurian for the appetizer. The crab cakes were spiced just enough over the mild side and the cauliflower is always my favorite! This one was softer but I still can't over the taste. Our entrees were brought out in a family size manner, everything can be shared. We ordered the shrimp curry, tandoori chicken and tandoor mixed grill (chicken, lamb, shrimp and beef). This all came with garlic

Wow, this was THE BEST takeout we have gotten in a long time! I am so thankful for amazing takeout and contactless delivery during this quarantine.
Highly recommend the vegetable samosas: the filling was amazing and the outside stayed nice and crispy. The chicken korma was great too. Bread basket is the way to go - big portion (great for a family).
Will definitely be ordering from here again! So good!

I love this Indian restaurant. The food tastes so delicious and fresh and I love the way they make their palak paneer. We were seated extremely fast and didn't even realize this place was BYOB so next time I'm definitely bringing myself some wine!
The interior is so beautiful and it truly reminds me of India (a home away from home). We ordered the garlic naan with butter chicken and Palak paneer. The portions were perfect and I can't wait to come by again soon!!

Hubby and I came here on a date night. Unfortunately I had to work hard here to avoid eating anything carby and the server thought it was weird that I didn't eat any rice, I simply told him rice isn't my thing. I was actually really craving meat but the churascuria I wanted to go to in Bellmore was closed.
The service was good here and I managed to find stuff that I didn't think was carby but may have been to eat. My appetizer was all meat and I was very happy about that.
Hubby seemed to enjoy his meal picks as well.
Just a tip they are BYOB here
