I rarely write reviews. I start with that because when I do write a review it is because the service or product I am reviewing far exceeded my expectations. Top Notch did just that. They came in with the lowest bid for removing a tree in our front yard. Then they started the project a week earlier than estimated. The removal team were professional, experienced and courteous. They worked like a well oiled machine. They had fun with one another which made watching them fun. You could tell they enjoyed working with one another. When the job was done our yard was clean and tree free! No cleaning up

We had some tree damage due to the storms this summer. I talked with Rod when he came out to give me an estimate. He was straight forward and knowledgeable. His prices were reasonable and he was clear in what he and his team were going to do and the equipment they were going to use, etc. (That helped me to have even more confidence that he know what he was doing.) We had some issues getting the work done but that was mostly due to the weather. But once we got it locked in... Rod and his team came out and did great work. They were competent, thorough and they did what they said they were going to

I called to get a tree trimmed at the end of July. Rod said he was booked roughly 4-6 weeks out. At the beginning of September I called to get an update and see if my appointment was approaching. Rod didn't answer so I left him a message. He responded the next day with a text message that said "Sorry still doing storm damage." After the large derecho storm in Iowa we had huge amounts of tree damage. I never heard or contacted Rod again. After waiting so long I called another service and they were great. I understand emergencies happen but you can't forget about your other customers.

Was having trouble getting tree service companies to respond. After reading the reviews I called Top Notch and they came right out for an estimate. A week later I had 4 trees removed (3 small ones), four large trees trimmed and an entire row of large lilacs removed (all the stumps removed of course). Friendly professional crew, worked quickly and left the yard cleaner than they found it. I will use them again! Only problem is, now I have no excuse to not side my house and build my new fence in the back yard.
