I strongly believe in the benefits of therapy for those who seek out change and fulfillment in their lives. Finding a place where you can safely discuss any and all issues in your life is a crucial piece to facilitating this change. I concentrate on each person who is sitting with me and come from an empowerment model in which I believe you have the expertise and answers and I am honored to be joining in this stage of your journey.

In sessions I seek out strengths and attempt to assist you in building on those strengths. I have background in substance abuse and most recently working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I have a strong background in working with anxiety and depression and adjustment issues in life such as divorce and grief.
Services
My education includes a bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Oregon and a masters degree in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark college. In my training I was able to learn how to look at our lives in a way that includes the whole person body, mind, and spirit and I bring this into my work and personal life on a daily basis.
I am able to offer individual and couples counseling. Counseling consists of meeting with me on a regular basis, as often as once a week, and working on goals that we will set together at the beginning. It is important that you are an active participant in creating these goals, as you are the expert of your journey.
All payments are due at the time of services. Payments can be made by cash, check, or online by credit card. Please see bottom of page to pay online. I am able to accept insurance payments. For questions regarding coverage please contact your insurance provider and provide this information before the time of your session via phone or email to the therapist.
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in understanding how medications for mood disorders interact with the body and other medications you may be taking. Some psychiatrists may provide occasional therapy but they primarily provide medication. Psychologists are doctors who specialize in understanding mental health.

Lori has been amazing to work with! She has helped me work through PPD after my kids were born. I really appreciate her kindness and compassion. She truly has a gift and an innate ability to listen and give the response that will help in that moment.
