Just-Us-Kids Child Care Center, Inc. is a locally owned and operated trio of 3 childcare centers in Silver Spring and Gaithersburg, Maryland. We have been providing child development programs for infants through school-age children for over 30 years.
Our programs are all licensed by the state of Maryland and credentialed in Maryland EXCELS, a quality rating and improvement system. Our programs are play-based because we believe children learn by doing. Our curriculum is carefully designed to provide engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that encourage children to be confident, competent learners.

Services
Our child care program strives to foster creativity and independence in each child. The most valuable experiences of childhood occur through play and experiences in which children use their five senses to learn about their environment. We focus on growth in all areas of development: cognitive, social, emotional and physical.
Just-Us-Kids Child Care Center, Inc. offers a variety of options to serve your busy schedule. Infants/Toddlers - The Infants and Toddlers share a spacious classroom with a total of 6 children and 2 staff members. Two's - The Two Year Olds have their own room with a staff to child ratio of 1:6. In conjunction with the readiness of each child and the parents, toilet-training is offered by our "expert" potty-trainers!
Call the Director and ask for an appointment at 301-869-9000. An appointment is not mandatory, however it is advisable to call ahead to make sure the Director is available to show you around. The Director will give you a tour of the center, tell you about our program, and of course, answer any questions you might have!
Almost all developmental psychologists and educators agree that the best preparation for success in school for preschool children is not the academic approach that pushes teacher-led-didactic instruction downward to younger and younger children. Rather it is a hands-on guided learning and discovery process that provides a language rich environment that stimulates intellectual, psychological and social skills.

I will not retract my previous statement(below) because it was my truth at the time. Nobody is hurt @katie wheeler with your shade. Every child goes thru phases. There is only so much harm a toddler can do. Your children I'm sure have experienced behavior issues whether you will admit it or not. I will say that my son is doing wonder at his Montessori school. He just needed a different environment to thrive. *****Praise report*******

As a teacher it was difficult to find a day care center that I felt was diverse, genuine and would help my daughter develop intellectually, emotionally and physically. The first day I walked into Just Us Kids I knew this center was right for me! We enrolled my daughter at nine months; she will be two on Sunday. She has learned her shapes, numbers, can sing her alphabets and love books. She has circle time everyday and the director comes in her room to sing songs with her class. I am so glad I found this day care provider as they have been more than understanding of the unique situation I have with my daughter. Many places would have turned us away knowing that my daughter was going to be spend extended periods of time on the West Coast but Just Us Kids welcomed us in with open arms and have treated my daughter like family. I highly recommend this facility!

They were very friendly as soon as I walked in, I was greeted and seated. I was referred to place down the street from there and just happened to past this one first. The daycare down the street doesn't even have a website, that is how I knew that wasn't the place for my son to be. If you ever hear of a daycare called "Minds Emotions" don't EVER take you kid there. I am so glad that I went to that dirty daycare first so I could compare to the daycare down the street and there was a significant difference Just-Us-Kids is a great place for your child. This was my first time sending my child to daycare
