About Us Report

Johnston Animal Hospital opened its doors in February of 1977. Initially, Dr. G.W. Rauton III ran a mixed animal practice. Over the years, Johnston Animal Hospital has become primarily a small animal practice. The original hospital has had three major additions including a boarding kennel and has been remodeled several times in order to keep up with the many advancements in veterinary technology.

Johnston Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital with three full time veterinarians, experienced staff, and all the modern services to care for your pet. We strive to provide the best possible care and consider your pet a part of our family. We offer yearly preventative care including physical exams, vaccinations, and testing for heartworms and all other internal and external parasites.

I found this hospital online and needed somewhere reliable to get my Dobermans ears done. The first photo was his ears when we arrived. At first the dr advised against cropping but after further discussion we decided to proceed and I could not be more happy with them. The last photo showing right after removing the post and the middle picture is him now. I will be using and referring any and all persons searching for a veterinarian that knows how to do a good crop. Thank again so much!
