Services
Lokahi Physical Therapy & Wellness is a physical therapy practice that specializes in the treatment of women and men with pelvic disorders. We also have specialized treatment programs for breast therapies, including mastitis or blocked ducts, post-surgical adhesion management (scar tissue), and cancer survivorship.
In our fast-paced culture maintaining harmony, or lokahi, in our lives can be a real challenge. Often times we carry stress around in our bodies, throwing off our balance and creating or exacerbating pain syndromes and diseases. At Lokahi Physical Therapy and Wellness we use the latest physical therapy modalities to help our clients regain harmony in their bodies.
Dr. Holly Horikawa received her B.S. in BioKinesiology from Chapman University in 2001 and continued on to Duke University where she graduated in 2005, with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. After a year and a half in pediatrics, Holly moved on to her true passion, Women's Health.

Holly has been practicing within the specialty since 2006, and has morphed traditional physical therapy with other modalities like visceral and neural manipulation to more effectively treat the whole person. She was formerly lead therapist and director of cancer & breast therapies at Womanology + Restore Him in Irvine.
Kristen has been a massage therapist for over 10 years and a personal trainer for 5 years. She specializes in sports, rehabilitation & injury prevention. Her goal is to help each client understand the basics in movement to maintain function & help prevent repetitive movement injuries. She enjoys learning new things and believes that even with over 10 years of experience, there is still so much to learn!
At Lokahi PT, we know that whole-person healing often requires more than one modality. For this reason we encourage our clients to find the treatments and therapies that are right for their individual needs. These are some of the professionals who we work closely with and can confidently recommend their practice or services.

I’ve been seeing Holly for around two years now, and Nicole for around a year, and both of them have helped me immensely. Holly and Claudia (who I’ve seen once when Holly was away, and was also great) are the onsite PT’s and are both very knowledgeable and friendly. This kind of PT can be awkward, but having a therapist that is sociable makes a world of difference.
Holly’s treatment has helped me so much with my pain. Over the time I’ve been seeing Holly, I went from being in pain nearly every day to only having a few bad days a month which I now know how to manage thanks to her.

My plastic surgeon Dr.Strawn referred me to Holly for breast physical therapy. I’m so glad I found her she’s amazing and she knows how to properly massage out the scar tissue. She has a lot of experience working with the breast area. She makes you feel super comfortable and is super sweet to talk to. Her office is beautiful and welcoming! 10 stars for sure !

Dr. Holly Horikawa, who owns and operates Lokahi Physical Therapy services, is impeccable in everything that she does as a physical therapist. This is exemplified in three areas:
1. HER CREDENTIALS - She knew what she wanted to do in life and sought out one of the best institutions of higher education in the U.S. which was Duke University. Duke University provided her the experiences and education for physical therapy that would meet the needs of those with pelvic pain, post surgical scar tissue from cancer and overall needs of women that often were not addressed in traditional physical therapy
