I've seen a lot of negative reviews on this company, so I was nervous when they were assigned to deliver my household goods from my military move. But from the second I answered the door, I had the best possible experience with this crew! They were super polite, friendly, respectful with my stuff, communicative. In fact, we actually had fun! I had an enormous amount of stuff (14 crates, 2 trucks) and the crew of 6 was done in less than 6 hours. I rarely give 5 star reviews, but this was worth it! Note - I used Aprin of Rhode Island - I think this is a National chain so maybe other branches

I had to give one star but it should be zero stars!!!! They are the most defunct moving company that I have ever dealt with. Thousands of dollars of goods were never transported. Waiting on customer service is another joke. So many people have left the company so everyday is a new tell all. Please, Please do not use Arpin unless you like drama and heartache!!!

Has been over a year and they still have not addressed the problems with my move. Keep in mind that one pays before Arpin actually completes the move. I suspect this practice has a lot to do with their poor performance. Since they're paid before the job is done they simply lose interest in properly completing the move. I wished I'd listened to the other negative reviews listed below but I didn't and chose to let Arpin move me. I regretted that decision and I'm still regretting it. Bottom line is that you are well advised to stay away from these movers. If you are considering

If promptness matters at all to you in your time of need (say when you've moved across the country and are living off suitcases/air mattresses/take out meals) I would advise against choosing Arpin. We selected them based on how their promised delivery time window aligned with our schedules and made our travel and work arrangements accordingly. The expected delivery range was already long (7 days) and they were an entire week late. They then missed that delayed delivery date again (a day where we arranged to take off work to receive the late shipment). Our consolation prize? $150 in Restaurant

I would rate them a zero if it let me. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! I got a quote from Arpin, however my job was moved over to Dolphin Moving Systems. Arpin should drop this company from their business and it's their fault for allowing this to happen for their clients.

The driver knowingly put our couch cushions in someones else's section on the truck. He "couldn't get to them" when they delivered our items, so assured us he would bring them back by once he did another delivery. Phone calls, texts, etc. later, we filed a claim and the joke of a company Dolphin said that our $4

I submitted a request online for an in home estimate, received the attached confirmation that it was received and that I would receive a phone call shortly, that was on the 11th August. To date I've not received an email or call from them at all (if they did call and it's a call I missed, they didn't even leave a message). Not one peep from them. I chose another company and moved on, don't waste your time with Arpin, if they can't even email or call to respond to a request, think how horribly they'll handle your move.

As you can see from my original review I initially did not have a good experience with Arpin Van Lines. But in my opinion the sign of a good company is one that owns up to mistakes it has made and corrects them. Today I was contacted by a woman named Julie in their customer service department and they have reviewed and approved my delay claim. Certainly I would have preferred that the move had gone smoothly in the first place but since that did not happen this is the best outcome I could have hoped for.

My poor daughter is moving in her apt. Driver did not show up today? 2 movers quit leaving one worker. He cannot do this alone. Nobody to really call to get help. Broken furniture and missing items. A total disaster.

If there is an option for zero stars that is what they would have received. These guys are the worst. They showed up a day early so we had to shift everything to the right. They damaged a bunch of my stuff and ruin my brand new wood floors....They denied the claim because the driver failed to mentioned that I had to annotate it on the shipping documents. Even after they called and I told them about the damage before they left, they still didn't mention that I had to annotate the damage to the house. DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER.... If you do ensure......that you annotate everything on your shipping

Dreadful, dismal, and demonstrably awful. Scheduled to show up on July 3rd-6th. Showed up on the 2nd. Scheduled to deliver my furniture on July 7th-17th. Come the 17th and not only was my stuff still undelivered, dispatch had no idea where it might be or when I could actually expect it. Nevertheless, I was charged the full amount on the 2nd, long before my stuff finally arrived on the 23rd.
Better to rent a UHaul and DIY your cross-country move.
I literally cannot say enough bad stuff about this company without resorting to expletives.

ETA: I contacted Arpin, as Chris K requested, and received

The Navy had Arpin move my household goods to Washington Sate from San Diego and they were a nightmare to deal with. I must have called at least 20 times but no answer and they didn't return voice mails. After finally getting hold of "wookie" i think, she told me my household goods would be delivered in 3 days time and if I wasn't there they would put my stuff in storage at my expense. I explained to her I would be down in OR on business and they really should had notified me earlier or answer one of my 20 phone calls so I could have made arrangements and I got the "we
