Services
Founded in 1934 as Bruce Brashears Funeral Parlor, Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory first operated in a two-story building on the historic Huntsville Square. Our founder, Bruce Brashears, later changed the name to Bruce Brashears Undertaking Company.
In 1943, the firm moved to what was then the Sparks Hotel on the north side of the Huntsville Square (presently known as the Brashears Building and occupied by Brashears Florists, Brashears Monuments, and Edward Jones.)Bruce's son and daughter-in-law, Felix and Jo (Boomer) Brashears, took over the firm after Felix returned from his service in the US Army Air Corps in World War II.

Brashears' staff are excellent. They deserve praise and recognition for the great job they did in providing a funeral service honoring my father. Our family was very pleased with the results. All of our plans and requests were met and more. We can all think back on the service with peace and loving remembrance of Dad.
