Lincoln Storage & Moving
In 1916, Arthur B. Compton Sr. started The Lincoln Storage Company at 315 E. First Street in Dayton, Ohio. We were the first household goods storage facility in the entire area. He later passed the business onto his son Arthur B. Compton Jr., who in 1963 sold it to Thomas M. Bates, Sr. In the early 1930's, Allied Van Lines was formed as the first interstate moving van line in America.

Lincoln Storage was one of their first 28 charter agents. Today we remain a significant part of the world wide Allied Network. In the 1970's we established our international moving division and began arranging relocations all over the world. The early 1980's brought deregulation to the trucking industry.

I have used Lincoln on multiple occasions for small and large jobs, and they have not let me down. Their communication from start to finish and their willingness to adapt to ever-changing situations is great. Their crew is extremely knowledgeable in different kinds of furniture and accessibly/disassembly methods along with efficient moving and packing strategies to maximize efficiency. I enjoy working with them and would refer them to anyone.

Left me high and dry. These movers canceled my move without so much as an apology 2weeks before the move date.
UNRELIABLE AND INHUMANE
I called multiple movers the week of 07/01 requesting a move date of 07/27. These movers gave me a reasonable price for a 4man crew for 07/27- so I went with them. The morning they were scheduled to do the walk through estimate they called: they'd overslept, could they come in the late afternoon. An hour before they were supposed to arrive, they called again- "we can't move you on the 27th". No apologies. No recourse.

They broke the bolts holding together my kids bunk bed and didn't even say anything about it. Just put the bed against the wall to hide it. Good thing we caught it before one of the kids got hurt.
