A dental hygienist is a licensed professional qualified to detect and remove calculus and other foreign matter to assist the dentist in his diagnosis of dental disease. They are authorized with further training to provide injections and help maintain oral health and educate the patients on oral hygiene.
Dr. Woeltje and his caring team use the latest technology to create beautiful and healthy smiles! Dr. Woeltje and his team pay very strict attention to infection control in their facility and follow OSHA guidelines.
Dr. Woeltje received his Bachelor of Arts from Augustana College with majors in chemistry, biology, and pre-dentistry. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from Northwestern University. He served as director of graduate periodontal training at Northwestern University for seven years, in addition, he served as Associate Professor in both the graduate and undergraduate clinics at the University.

I transferred to Dr. Woeltje’s office from another local practice that never felt warm or inviting to me, even over the course of several years. Having been a patient here for several years for routine and more specialized procedures, I have been pleased with the care I have received, and truly enjoy and have the utmost trust in my fantastic hygienist Patti and Dr. Woeltje. Debbie and Gayla at the front desk are so gracious, inviting, and helpful. This dental practice is friendly, skilled, and efficient: the gold standard in my book. I heartily recommend.

As usual I had a VERY pleasant experience at Dr. Woeltje’s office today. My hygienist was EXCELLENT! I say this because of her hygienist skills but also because she is my daughter. I would recommend anyone to make an appointment with her. Not only is she VERY professional but she is totally painless.
