Continental Van Lines began by moving US military service members between Seattle and Alaska in 1952 when Alaska was still a U.S. territory and Seattle was known as the transportation gateway to Alaska. With statehood in 1959 came growth and the company began serving civilian customers as well.
Eventually affiliating with a large interstate van line, Continental was able to expand its reach beyond Alaska and into the interstate moving market within the Lower 48 States. With the addition of an international division in the 1980s, Continental became a full service moving company. Continental is a shareholder of UniGroup, parent company of United Van Lines, Mayflower Transit and UniGroup Worldwide Moving.

These guys did a great job moving us from our home in Eagle River to Chugiak. They showed up on time and went straight to work! The guys did an awesome job getting all the big items out of the house with out any damage! I would highly recommend and will definitely be using them again if i make another move!

Worked with Happy and Filo on 15 February to pack up my house and ship to Maryland. The guys were very respectful and efficient. The process took about 5 hours, and they did everything perfectly as far as paperwork, packing, handling, and making sure all of my items were marked accordingly. It was an easy and stress free process, and Happy and Filo made my move a lot more enjoyable and relaxing. I know my stuff was safe in their hands and I would recommend continental to anyone moving cross country. Thank you for everything!

The lift on the truck they brought was broken. On an 18-block move "we got lost." They dropped dresser that had filled totally destroying it and lost several other items (god knows how). When I sent in a claim the response
