Over 10 years ago Mario Vines hit the scene as a new and ambitious disc jockey, DJ Lyfe. He quickly rose to become a top mobile DJ in the DMV area. Mario traveled the entire east coast performing in clubs, schools, businesses, and numerous wedding and party DJ venues. Eventually Mario's talents were discovered, and he turned to the sea to continue his love of performing.
He was hired by Holland America Line (Carnival Corporation) and continued to travel to over 60 countries, performing for a vast array of cultures and musical tastes. Through his hard work he quickly rose through the ranks and became a Cruise Director.

We have you covered for all of your private event DJ needs. From corporate events to backyard birthday parties we have the music, lights, and effects to satisfy all needs. Our DJs are seasoned pros, and know how to read a crowd. We can take your boring party, and turn it up to a new level. You can customize your event with everything from big screen TV's to customized party games.
Q: Are only teachers allowed to the event? A: All Teachers have the ability to invite a "non-teacher." So if you want to bring your spouse or partner feel free. Or if you want to leave them at home and come party with a friend you are more than welcome. The only rule is that a teacher must be listed when buying the tickets.

Where to begin, to start let’s just say we got married September 10 and three months later, we still have guests reaching out asking about our DJ. Everyone we have spoken with after the wedding tells us how beautiful the day was, but quickly shifts the conversation to the reception and how the amazing DJ had the party rolling literally the whole night.
We could not be more grateful. Mario and his team are a professional, tech savvy, fully equipped team that knows how to throw a party. No one wanted the night to end!

Hands down - The DC DJs made our wedding. We needed a DJ last minute and he came highly recommended by both my wedding planner and caterer. He was magically available for my wedding date and it was the best decision I made. He offers so many services besides being a DJ, making him extremely versatile for your day. He is so easy to work with, has a great set up, and he really matches the vibe of the wedding. The DC DJs did a tremendous job at our wedding this past summer. Mario has a phenomenal ability to get all our guests excited to dance, celebrate, and party that caters across multiple generations and musical tastes. Where do I even begin?!? Mario was outstanding for our wedding. He was responsive, affordable, fun, personable and knew how to get a party not only started but keep it going! Out of all our vendors, this is the one friends and family are still talking about!! Mario took the time to meet with us and go over our vision. Our main goal was to have music that kept everyone on the dance floor- we had been to weddings before where it's awkward with only a few people dancing and everyone else sitting. Grandparents and people I have never seen dance were out there till last dance!!! He truly was amazing

Mario was INCREDIBLE!!! He was truly the star of the show at our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He was extremely responsive leading up to the wedding and made sure that we had everything exactly the way we wanted it. During the reception, every time I looked over at the DJ table, he was smiling/dancing/singing along to every song. He was kind, funny, extremely professional, and had so much energy. Mario from The DC DJs did our wedding and it was absolutely perfect! He is incredibly kind, energetic, organized, and professional. We weren't sure our guests would engage in dancing too much, but Mario read the crowd perfectly and kept everyone engaged the whole evening! We had almost every guest at some point of the night tell us how great our DJ was. I can't recommend these guys enough!!

I highly recommend The DC DJs for wedding ceremony sound, cocktail music, uplighting, dance lighting, MCing, and DJing! Working with The DC DJs (and Mario specifically) was seamless and easy from the very first communication. Mario was very responsive via email throughout the planning process, and even put together a slick PowerPoint presentation for our final meeting before the wedding! Mario was the definition of amazing. He was very communicative in the entire process, made sure that we had what we wanted, and everything was timed perfectly. We wanted a huge dance party/sing-a-long and he made that happen while sticking to our schedule. Our experience with Mario was perfect from start to finish. We started by interviewing a lot of different DJs but Mario stood out the most to us. We spoke on the phone about how we were looking for a certain vibe. The DC DJs were amazing!!! Our medical school hired them to play an event on a private boat and the DC DJs did not disappoint. Everyone had an amazing night. Mario had everyone up and dancing from the moment the boat left, right up until we docked again three hours later. We will definitely be hiring the DC DJs again in the future for our next event and would give them 6 stars if we could.

The DC DJs really helped me out of a jam. Our regular Pep Rally DJ did not have our last Pep Rally on his calendar, so I was scrambling. Thankfully Mario was available, and he worked all night to get ready for what was an AWESOME show for our Spring Pep Rally. Very professional and excellent equipment.
