I began my studio in 1980 photographing products and still life; my first major food project was "The Gatherings Cook Book", a collection of recipes submitted by Junior League members, produced in 1987. Since then I've been photographing food, almost exclusively, for both advertising agencies and clients directly.

My studio is located in the state of Wisconsin where 85 to 90 percent of the milk produced goes into cheese making. It's hardly a coincidence then that I've taken a special interest in photographing cheese. Well, that and I do enjoy a good aged Cheddar. Close to the Chicago market, I have access to some of the best food stylists in the business, many of which I work with quite frequently.
