Dr. Julian Chipley established Chipley Chiropractic in 1995. Dr. Melissa McMillen-Gwinn joins him in practice to provide quality natural care to Beckley and the surrounding communities. With our team, you can discover the benefits of chiropractic in relieving your pain and helping you live better. Dr. Chipley had an early interest in biology and knew he wanted to enter the health care field. During his undergraduate years, he hurt his back while playing basketball. A friend tipped him off about chiropractic, which got Dr. Chipley fantastic results. It was then that he decided to become a chiropractor, enrolling at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
As a child, Dr. Melissa saw her father, a coal miner, go to work with severe neck pain. He saw a chiropractor and got better. Though Dr. Melissa didn't understand what chiropractic did at the time, her father's experience made an impact. She went to school to be an X-ray technician and ended up working at a chiropractor's office.

After that, it's all gravy. Their staff and docs are top notch and SO NICE! Seriously, in today's social climate, it's nice to have a place like this that feels like family and that they actually care.
