Since 2008, Preferred EyeCare Center has served as a dedicated and caring provider of quality vision services to Mount Pleasant and the surrounding communities. A native of central Indiana, Dr. Click attended Indiana University, where she earned a biochemistry degree and, in 2007, her optometry degree. Soon after graduation, she moved to sunny Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and, in the fall of 2008, opened Preferred EyeCare Center in Park West. Married to her high school sweetheart, Dr. Click is the oldest of three children.

Horrible experience from start to finish. I’ve been wearing glasses for over 40 years and, each interaction with this store, was worse than the last. When I went to pick out my new glasses there was a large dog, running loose, in the establishment. He was obviously nervous as he was barking as people came in. No one attempted to move him out of the waiting area as I had my granddaughters with me. I mentioned he seemed nervous and was told “he’s just nervous around strangers”. The service and care I received on this initial visit was outstanding. It was my first consult after setting an appointment based on a Nextdoor recommendation. I've been a contact lens wearer for 35+ years, most recently using multifocal lenses. I love multifocals, but asked my doctor to lay out all my options. Dr. Mayfield did this in a very clear manner, and we decided to switch to daily wear multifocals. I'd also like to give kudos to the lady who ran all the various tests on my eyes prior to my sit-down with Dr. Mayfield--she was very clear, thorough and compassionate.

(sp) and I was looking for an ophthalmologist who would be able to see me within 4-6 weeks, as all of the local ones were booked through the summer. I googled my condition and eye doctors who treated it and I came across Dr.Elizabeth Braun. Dr.Braun is perhaps one of the most thorough doctors I’ve ever experienced. I was so grateful to meet the new ophthalmologist at Preferred EyeCare Center. Dr. Nicole Mayfield is a great addition to the preferred Eyecare Center. I already loved Dr. Click but was treated by Dr. Mayfield in her absence during the Thanksgiving holidays. I really appreciate the care and professionalism that she gave me. I have been a patient of Dr. Click at Preferred Eye Care practice for several years. The clinic is a return to the days of good old fashioned family medical care. The greeter calls you by name with a big smile and the wait is less than five minutes. They speak to you about any health changes rather than giving you a bushel of redundant forms. I was due for an eye exam and wanted to find a new doctor. My previous experience at another office was satisfactory and the new glasses I purchased not so good. I had to return to the office 3-4 times to have them adjusted. Additionally they were supposed to be scratch proof and were not. My experience at Preferred Eye was a breath of fresh air. The staff were pleasant and professional. The doctor was a pleasure and explained everything regarding my exam. The woman who helped me choose my glasses was great.
