Athens Infusion & Pharmacy opened in 1989 when owner Ann recognized a need in this area for infusion services. As a former hospital pharmacy director, it was natural for her to begin a business that services the needs of patients who are discharged from the hospital on intravenous medications that require careful monitoring, equipment and supplies usually not found in most retail drug stores.
Ann and our team of specialists have implemented systems greatly contributing to the health of our clients with an estimated 50% increase in medication dosing compliance by patients. This is why so many long term care facilities have turned to our pharmacy for their patients' needs. As a proponent of total customer care and education services, Ann has three pharmacists who are always available to answer any questions or concerns.

Since 1989, Athens Infusion has provided quality, patient-focused home infusion services to the local area as well as North Georgia communities. Home infusion therapy involves patients receiving individualized doses of intravenous or subcutaneous medication to patients in their own home. Athens Infusion works closely with local nursing agencies who safely administer medication to our patients.

I called today to see if Athens Infusion & Pharmacy had Ivermectin in stock, as my doctor prescribed this to me, and it has been very difficult to find pharmacies that have it in stock. The lady who answered the phone informed me that they did not have Ivermectin in stock, which is fine, I am not surprised by that. However she then proceeded to ask who the medicine was for. I told her myself, and she said that Ivermectin is not safe for human use and will make me very sick. I am honestly appalled that someone working at a pharmacy would say such a thing. Ivermectin is on the WHO list of essential

If anyone has a chance to be associated with any of the staff there let me tell you that they are amazing. They stayed late on a Friday for my doctor to make medicine for me to save my site in my right eye. There is no thanks enough I could tell them how much I appreciate each and everyone! The hard work they do each and every day to help people is remarkable . Anyone would be blessed that come in dealings with them.

I can't say enough about the wonderful staff at Athens Infusion and Pharmacy. The customer service is the best I've encountered of ANY business I've had dealings with. They are helpful and willing to do whatever is required to take care of client needs. During the difficult period of moving a parent to assisted living they have been a true partner to me in assuring that the necessary medications are delivered accurately and on time. I am thankful for this extraordinary team of professionals.
