Individual Counseling, Individual Therapy, and Psychotherapy - different names for therapies with the same goal: to work with people one-on-one to help them help themselves. With each session, the hope is to discover, then reduce or eliminate, whatever it is that might be causing a patient emotional pain, anxiety, sorrow, or other distress or suffering.
A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation entails obtaining a thorough history to help understand the underlying cause of your symptoms. This includes discussing past history of any physical or mental health issues, past treatment, developmental and family history and gaining an in-depth understanding of current concerns and level of functioning.
The careful selection of certain medications can enhance and facilitate efficient symptom resolution, particularly when used in combination with psychotherapy. Your treatment team may offer certain medical options to address your symptoms after a careful consideration of your immediate objectives, and your longer term goals.
We are currently accepting new patients. A new patient intake request by the patient or by provider can be processed either by fax or phone. SNBCare team processes new patient's intake within 48 hours after receiving a fax or call. To ensure appropriate scheduling and coordination of your patient's care please include all information requested on the NARF.

Office staff is like dealing with outsourced IT support reps. I've had to shout down one of the appointment setters as he has been bullying in the past. Others can be hostile or abusive. I've been without a med for a week and now I'm destabilizing. Getting through is near impossible with very long wait times on hold
Over-eager to prescribe neuroleptics to autistics.... That was the first red flag. But now I'm stuck with this practice until more psychs begin to take on new patients. This sucks.
I have PTSD and dealing with these people are triggering in itself.

Katie is one of the best mental health providers I have ever had who has really taken the time to try to understand what I am dealing with. In addition, one of the receptionists, Joanna, had really gone above and beyond to try to work out some insurance issues that I had recently so that i could receive my medications and it really meant a lot to me because she really cared and put in the effort. The team is very understanding and accommodating with my crazy schedule. I recommend everyone to SNB care.

Been reviewing psychologists, LICSW, and psychiatrists for over 10 years. Was diagnosed with ADD over a decade and it is nearly impossible to find a psychiatrist, psychologist who knows ADD and is able to treat it properly. Been a patient of SNB for close to a year and the treatment I received is poor. From scheduling appointments to speaking with the doctors. The NP I see now only understands Adderall as a treatment for ADD and still must reference information. There have been several new medications approved by FDA in the past year but was told, “ The NP does not want to deal with those medications”

The amount of gratitude i have for this company, & their staff is extreme and i cant sit here And say enough because regardless of what you may have read, im walking proof this place is serious, helpful, compassionate, friendly, empathetic & truly amazing! Just like any place you'd go in life, weather it be the doctors or a pizzeria or the beauty salon... there will always be flaws in any buisess. Nothing in life is made to be 100% perfect, nor do entitled individuals who think they are 'required' to get whatever it is they want and when this dont always go as planned or

Getting refills is very difficult! I tried for 2 1/2 weeks before medication was to run out and still went through withdrawal because it never got refilled!! Got the runaround every time I called. Was told there weren’t any notes of my phone calls. I guess that means I never called? Leaving this practice.

Katie Towokol has not only been a provider, but a friend as I began and continue to navigate through my mental health journey. I wish I could have started my journey beforehand and had Katie earlier, but the progress I have been able to make with Katie and the team at SNB Care has been nothing short phenomenal. Nita Loveland is awesome. She is friendly, down to earth, and made me feel comfortable right from the start. It is not easy meeting a new psychiatrist but she made it comfortable. Instead of just throwing another antidepressant at me she asked questions and thought outside of the box to find something new for me to try. She recommended gene testing which will help find the right medication for me which is something no other doctor has ever offered. I am really looking forward to working with her and building a relationship in my journey to feeling better. I would 100% recommend Lynetta!

Dr. Tawakol has been very helpful, and the staff she work's with. She has been amazing! She listened to me and my story and is willing to take her time to work with me and figure out what is actually going on. I am at a place now where I am happy. A huge thing For me was that she listened to what I felt I needed I’ve lived with myself for 36 years I know what works and doesn’t and she worked with me on that. And the best part…. My son said to me mom I notice a difference in you you are happy and I am proud of you.

Don't waste your time, don't waste your money. I was told, multiple times over the phone by someone (gonna go on a limb and say outsourced), that YES they do test for adult ADD- the only thing I'm looking for. I waited 3 months for my first apt to find out they've never tested this. 3 months I could have been using to find someone who actually provides the testing I so desperately need. This place is a joke, as many of them are. Avoid at all cost.

If you are someone who needs your medication to function, this is not the right office for you. If you are someone who enjoys spending MONTHS on hold, with both your insurance, your provider and your pharmacist this is definitely the office for you! If you look at the previous reviews, I'm not the only one with this experience.

We started using this office at the beginning of Covid. Given everything was virtual, we were grateful to find a resource for our 15 year old son. Really anxious for help, we were glad when we were able to be (virtually) seen so quickly. We saw Katie Tawakol and initially found her to be very thorough. As our experience and the treatment evolved, our impressions changed significantly. If you need to get in tough with Katie or the office on a Thursday, a Friday, over the weekend or even on a Monday for that matter, good luck! Twice over the course of our treatment we had a question on a Thursday

I started using this office at the start of covid. Never a doctor. Only a nurse practitioner. She is sweet.
I have twice run out of meds and called in to a man named Alex that takes your call. Twice I Gabe had to deal with the abrupt stop of meds. Leasing to lost sleep, headaches,
