After 13 years with this agent and the same company, Pioneer Insurance my rates went up and I was charged 150% surcharge which would have taken my home policy to $2,200.00 per year. I called around to different agents to get quotes and one agent had my rate way under the amount I had paid for 13 years. I called Fred Haight agency to tell them I was cancelling them to go with this other company and unfortunately I was asked which company was writing the policy and stupid me told him who it was. When I went today to sign with the new agent, my policy went up $251.00 from what I was going to pay.
