ARS Inspections Real Estate Inspection Company (Advantage Real Estate Services) is a Ohio licensed and certified home inspection and building inspection company located in Zanesville Ohio. Lead Inspector: Andy Tabler has preformed more then 20,000 real estate inspections on structures of all type, style and design and has published several articles on inspecting older houses.
We offer both a 90 day and a one-year warranty on gas lines located within the structure. This service can be done in conjunction with a home inspection or building inspection or as a separate service. We can collect well water samples during the home inspection or as a separate service. These samples are delivered to a private EPA Approved lab for reading.

I wouldn't even rate one star, but google requires it. We have contacted Andy to inspect two different homes we were looking into buying and were extremely disappointed. The first time I contacted him (for the first home) was the first and only time I was ever able to speak to him on the phone. His voicemail was always full and every other time I called (even for the second home) I got an automated text response stating that he was on an inspection and would call me back shortly; no return contact was made until I told him I could find another Inspector if he was too busy and he stated through

I spoke with Andy and contracted him to take three 5-minute air samples in a bank-owned house. I then emailed Andy the details and entry instructions, which he acknowledged. I expressed my wish to have the testing completed within a week, although Andy wanted to do it ten days later. Since the house was vacant, ARS could fit it into their schedule any time they wished.
15 days, three unanswered emails, and two phone calls later, it was clear that ARS couldn't be bothered to do the job. A shame, as it would have taken 35 minutes and would have been easy money. Instead, they have an angry

Andy talked to the seller of our new home and agreed to install a radon system and agreed on a price with them prior to closing. They gave us a check at closing and we scheduled a time for the install. He had not actually looked at the house before giving the quote and agreeing to do the job. He shows up with a team on the scheduled install day but says "oh I can't install this today because I didn't know there was a crawlspace". He said he would call us and come back with a "skinny crew" that

Andy has failed to return calls and take ownership for how his radon company incorrectly wired and connected the power system to our air conditioning. This has caused our air conditioning fan to run for a straight year, which finally blew out the motor! Andy sent his guys back to re-wired the radon system but will take no ownership for breaking our air conditioning!! Please save yourself the time and headache and find someone better!!
