Nola Discount Pharmacy started on Mardi Gras Day in 2012. News on the parade route was that the popular local drugstore, C's Discount Pharmacy was selling to a "big box chain" store. This prompted a few C's employees to keep local, family owned and operated discount pharmacy where it belongs - in the heart of Metairie.
An estimated 50 percent or more of medications for chronic conditions, such as high cholesterol and diabetes, are not taken as prescribed. Medication non-adherence can lead to worsening health conditions, hospitalizations and death. Whatever the reason is for medication non-adherence, we have a solution for you.
Medication therapy management, otherwise known as MTM, is a term used for a program to help you manage your medications and health conditions. Do you want to know how best to take your medications to get the most from your medications?. Would you like to have a complete list of the medications you take for your personal use?.
When it comes to disease prevention, immunizations are key. Getting vaccinated protects you and those around you. Our main focus is to help you and your loved ones stay up-to-date on the recommended vaccines. We offer a variety of immunizations. Our highly qualified staff can easily administer these immunizations here at the pharmacy.
Do you ever find it difficult to keep up with your medication refills and picking up your medications? If you answered yes, you may benefit from medication synchronization. Med Synchronization, also called med sync, is a program we offer here at the pharmacy to help synchronize your medication refills so that you will be able to pick up ALL of your medications on a single day each month.

Wow. This may be the most incompetent pharmacy I have ever been to. It took me three trips to two stores to get meds for my dad, who desperately needed them. Cost me a half day of work. And about 1/3rd of the staff are masked during what every medical professional I know is calling the next Covid wave.

I recently changed to this pharmacy and am ever so glad that I did. Never are there long lines to wait in to get my medications and the employees are always there to offer help for any of your needs that you may have. There are many other items in this store other than medication which makes this the ultimate store to visit.

Totally agree with all positive reviews A YEAR OR TWO AGO....HOWEVER....after Ross, Vinny and numerous others left the customer service today is that of Wal Mart & CVS. The friendly family atmosphere has taken a back seat to you becoming just another Rx. Number.
Until recently I drove 78 miles round trip to come here. But after being charged $21.00 for a $12.00 Rx. And getting a condesending attitude over the phone from the Female pharmacist ( NOT JULIETTE ) it was time to take my and wife's business elsewhere. And that we did, along with getting my refund which cost me another 78 miles.

This store carries items others do not. They have limited edition flavors of blue bell ice cream and candies I haven't seen since my childhood. I love it is in walking distance from my job. We are still deciding if that is a good or bad thing. The store clerk is usually the same lady, who has a smile even with Covid being apart of our daily lives. She greets everyone walking in and asks if you need assistance which I appreciate even though I know what I need, and where to go find it. Recommend to support our local businesses. Try them out even if you're picking up a few items.

Nola discount is always helpful and has great stock of a variety of items . The pharmacy staff was very helpful this week with communication about two prescriptions I had placed . I picked them up on separate days , and the second day the pharmacy staff did a smooth curbside pickup . I love being able to support this local small business. Highly recommend for any needs !

I normally would always give reviews in a positive form but my experience at the NOLA Discount Pharmacy today was less than the star that i'm giving them today. I went for the first time after living in Metairie for many years and working in Metairie for many years. My first experience was very pleasant to the point that I was even going to bring my mother there because the store has items that you cannot find anywhere but I rather go & spend extra money on Amazon or wait for Walgreen's or anywhere else to get the products before coming to this FACILITY ! I went into NOLA pharmacy 3 weeks bought tissue, toilet paper $4.99 for 12 rolls and liquids hand soap $1.00. Usual items I buy. Went there yesterday 04/10/2020. To let paper $1.50 a roll, same liquid hand soap $1.99 a bottle... how totally disgusting ... Price Gouging...Sinful.

Everything great that has previously been said about NOLA Discount Pharmacy is true. The pharmacists always have time to personally answer your questions with kindness and accuracy. The cashiers are always ready to check you out without delay and /or answer your questions. Even the stock clerks are friendly and helpful. I would never go anywhere else for my prescription and non prescription medications. I trust the people at NOLA 100%.

I am a person with special medicine needs. NO other pharmacy could help me, but Nola Discount Pharmacy could, did, and still does. They are professional and also very friendly. Helpful to the max. Their actions show how much they care about their clients. They go beyond the usual or norm to help people. I have not had this experience elsewhere. Give them a visit, and you will see for yourself! Best service and cheapest prices in town for any discount pharmacy, and I have comparison shopped between here and Majoria's. Some non-prescription items, such as toilet paper or hydrogen peroxide are cheaper at Family Dollar or Family Dollar; however, nobody can match their prices for prescription drugs. They remember me, and how to pronounce my surname. They call me Mr. Menuet, without my having to remind them.
