All sites, programs and services have regular hours of operation using the main number 305-434-7660 (press 4 for Key West, 5 for Marathon and 6 for Key Largo) 8 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday. All persons entering GCC buildings for services will be asked screening questions, temperatures taken and wear face coverings at all times.

Services
The Guidance/Care Center, Inc. (GCC), was incorporated in 1973 as a 501(c)(3), nonprofit, charitable organization dedicated to the provision of high-quality and cost-effective behavioral healthcare services for children, youth, and adults throughout the Florida Keys. Located in Marathon in the heart of Monroe County - midway between Key Largo and Key West, GCC offers a comprehensive continuum of mental health and substance abuse services.

The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a public Baker Act receiving facility providing services for individuals showing acute mental health disorders. To "Baker Act" is a means of providing individuals with emergency services and temporary detention for mental health evaluation and treatment when required, either on a voluntary or an involuntary basis.
The case manager works with the client to achieve wellness and autonomy through advocacy, assessment, planning, communication, education, resource management, and service facilitation. A case manager links the client with appropriate providers and resources while ensuring that the services provided are safe, client centered, timely, works for the client and is fair.
Guidance/Care Center (GCC) provides community based psychiatric services, prevention services, intervention services, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services.
Services address a variety of needs that include the following: situational stressors, family relations, interpersonal relationships, addictions, needs of victims of abuse, domestic violence or other trauma, medication management, parenting skills, and other issues that impact daily living and the ability to cope.

I got a letter in the mail today claiming that a housing manager spoke with them which they denied doing. My notice claimed I was denied housing due to refusal of treatment.
Now that case that was closed years ago has to be reopened by my attorney because something aint right here and it seems to be pointing at the bubba system, in the letter it says I smoked weed and like everyone knows I don't smoke then again CPS claimed I have no friends and that's sick and alarming man, and if we can't do anything of it i'mma have to pack bags again and leave because most people here get away with things

Horrible terrible experience , I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy. Nor feed my dog the food they serve patients that are paying 600$ a day for. No Maintenance worker on site at all. One old lady that “cleans” maybe twice a week. Only one bathroom was working for around 10 men and women.. staff falling asleep behind the restricted area for staff while working night shift. Covering themselves with a blanket and everything. This place is shameful and should be shut down.

I fell on some hard times, and became a slave to the drink. The staff here at GCC welcomed me with open arms and embraced me in my time of need. They were all very helpful and genuinely concerned about my detox and recovery. I was supplied with a comfortable bed in a dorm room, a hot shower, and three daily meals, along with necessary medication to mitigate withdrawal symptoms and a daily consultation with a doctor. They also encouraged all of us to attend AA meetings held in the facility, and offered advice on where to go after my departure. This place was a godsend for me!

The doctor here is Excellent BUT The receptionist needs replaced! Donna took it upon herself to CANCEL my husband's appointment when he called to ask if he Might be able to reschedule because he was having trouble aquiring transportation. When she told him if he missed today's appointment the doctor would likely drop him, the conversation was over. She NEVER SAID, Call back and Confirm. So I got him a bus and came with him Only to get here and find out that SHE GAVE HIS APPOINTMENT AWAY. SHE CANCELLED HIM ON HER OWN BEHALF! What Kind of Unprofessional Poor excuse of a Doctor's Receptionist Does
