All sites, programs and services have regular hours of operation using the main number 305-434-7660 (press 4 for Key West, 5 for Marathon and 6 for Key Largo) 8 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday. All persons entering GCC buildings for services will be asked screening questions, temperatures taken and wear face coverings at all times.
GCC works collaboratively with other agencies, schools, private providers, law enforcement, hospitals and other behavioral health providers to support and enhance the benefits to our clients, consumers and other stake holders. Services available to women and pregnant women receive preference. GCC serves all clients regardless of inability to pay.

The Guidance/Care Center, Inc. (GCC), was incorporated in 1973 as a 501(c)(3), nonprofit, charitable organization dedicated to the provision of high-quality and cost-effective behavioral healthcare services for children, youth, and adults throughout the Florida Keys. Located in Marathon in the heart of Monroe County - midway between Key Largo and Key West, GCC offers a comprehensive continuum of mental health and substance abuse services.

Adult Crisis Stabilization Services
Report
The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a public Baker Act receiving facility providing services for individuals showing acute mental health disorders. To "Baker Act" is a means of providing individuals with emergency services and temporary detention for mental health evaluation and treatment when required, either on a voluntary or an involuntary basis.
Case Management

The case manager works with the client to achieve wellness and autonomy through advocacy, assessment, planning, communication, education, resource management, and service facilitation. A case manager links the client with appropriate providers and resources while ensuring that the services provided are safe, client centered, timely, works for the client and is fair.
Outpatient Treatment

Guidance/Care Center (GCC) provides community based psychiatric services, prevention services, intervention services, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services.
Services address a variety of needs that include the following: situational stressors, family relations, interpersonal relationships, addictions, needs of victims of abuse, domestic violence or other trauma, medication management, parenting skills, and other issues that impact daily living and the ability to cope.
