Snapdragon Flowers owner and designer, Tolani Lawrence-Lightfoot, is a trained artist with a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art & Design, she brings many years of visual arts training & experience to the creation of her floral designs. For years Tolani was designing botanically themed wedding invitations & poster art using still lives.
Soon she realized that her experience with color theory, her love of floristry, and a desire to rework trends meant that fresh flowers were an artistic medium she could turn into a business! Tolani realized she wanted to work with flowers full time.

Life's biggest events happen infrequently but the imprint they will leave behind will last forever. Snapdragon Flowers will create florals that will leave all who attend with a lifetime of memories. No two events are ever the same. And our floral designs reflect that. We are driven by a deep love for color, texture, respect, and a fascination with the natural world.
Snapdragon Flowers only uses the freshest botanicals. We are a small studio and rely on one fridge. This means that you can rest assured that your blooms are sourced 2 -3 times a week. We pride ourselves on our long lasting bouquets and proper after-care will ensure your blooms keep flourishing as long as possible.

We wanted to surprise a friend with flowers, and live in a different state. Snapdragon was very easy to book with online, and Black woman owned which is a huge plus! The delivery was postponed due to poor weather and we received a courtesy notice, the next day the flowers were delivered and they are easily the most stunning bouquet I’ve ever sent anyone! It was overflowing with gorgeous high quality blooms. Highly recommend to anyone looking to brighten someone’s day! :)

Tolani did a beautiful job with our wedding flowers - all guests and staff commented on how impressed they were with our arrangements! All flowers were fresh and incredibly fragrant. The arrangements were artistically designed, but perfectly fit our wishes.
We appreciated that they were able to be flexible as we planned, and changed our wedding plans during the COVID epidemic.

Discovered this place yesterday and so glad I did! I walked in not quite knowing what I wanted/what was in my budget and the gentleman was super kind and enthusiastic helping me figure that out. I picked out the snapdragon and dahlia and he put together the rest- I ended up with this personalized bouquet including the vase for $15! Will definitely be back!

Fantastic florist. I would recommend to my family and friends. I originally went to a florist that was close to me with a 4 star rating which turned out to be disappointing to say the least. I found snap dragon online. The store is very professional and up to date. My experience with the owner was amazing. She knew exactly what I was looking for and how to arrange it. It was reasonably price with exceptional quality. I will be returning for all of my floral needs.

This flower shop and gift store is absolutely stunning! I had the most positive experience here during my visit to West Philly. I purchased several cards and spoke with a gentleman and woman for a solid 20 minutes about books, the neighborhood and other topics I don't remember, but I'm smiling while I try to remember. I definitely recommend going to this store and sharing a little bit of your life with the people who work here, they'll share back. :) I hope this shop is thriving when I'm back in West Philly next.
