Dr. Karim Rizkalla grew up in South Shore and attended Bates College in Maine before graduating from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2000. He remains an active member of the community, serving reliable, quality dentistry to families in his neighborhood.
Exemplifying his expertise, he maintains memberships in the American Dental Association (ADA), Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS), and International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).Dr. Bahaa Rizkalla attended the dental school at University of Cairo in Egypt and graduated from Tufts University in Boston, MA.

Before: Front (left) Central tooth has a poor restoration. Does not look natural and is not contoured properly to match the gumline of the rest of the teeth. After: Replaced with an All Porcelain Crown (no metal). Tooth is now contoured to match the rest of the gumline. Restored tooth looks very natural and matches the shape and color of the patient's teeth.
Before: 3 Unit bridge with chipped porcelain molar (supporting metal showing on molar tooth), poor enamel color match to patient's natural teeth, and poor fit around the patient's gumline. After: Replaced Bridge with an All Porcelain Bridge. The new bridge now also matches the patient's natural tooth color and was designed to properly fit around the gumline.

Been a patient of Rizkalla Dental since I was a child. Always received professional dental care that was gentle and effective. I had some tooth pain from an old filling on a molar done in my youth. It was time for a crown. Doctor Karim's technique with needle and drill was friendly, swift and professional - minimizing pain and discomfort. Everything you could ask for in a dentist. My tooth was salvaged and my temporary crown is in place with comfort. I was kept informed during the procedure by him and his assistant which helps in managing my part in the effort. His assistant (sorry I can't recall her name :) ), was skilled with temporary crown fitting and finish. I await the permanent crown installation with confidence

I love Rizkalla Dental Associates! I have been a patient there for over 20 years. The doctors, hygienists, and assistants are patient, caring, and professional. The office staff is friendly and always pleasant. The office is very clean and modern and there is plenty of off street parking. They have updated equipment. I've had everything from cleanings to root canals and have never had a bad experience.

I was referred by a patient. I got an appointment within 2 days and I was so excited that they could accommodate me. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. The doctor is very knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to my concerns. Then explain his to me the procedure so we both understood the expectation. I appreciated this. You are not rushed in or rushed out for you appointment.
Overall this practice made me feel like I had been a patient for years there, such a warm welcoming feeling, this is my new Dental office.

This place is great once you get in there. Just don't be late. These people HATE it if you're late. I called to let them know I was going to be ten minutes late because I got stuck in unexpected traffic, something that commonly happens when you live in a city. I was on my way, had spent the last 40 minutes in traffic, and called out of courtesy to let them know I was going to be late. And they decided nope, that's not gonna work for us, we're going to take someone else and cancel on you. This stupid dentist made me waste an hour of my time over a ten minute difference.

Although I'm new to Rizkalla dental I give them 5 stars! On my first visit, the office staff cleared up an issue with my insurance and the dr explained some issues with a partial plate but didn't urge me to act until it became necessary. Yesterday, I got my first cleaning, quickly, painlessly, and efficiently again with information to help me make decisions without urging me into unnecessary work. I think they are all super polite, knowledgeable, and thorough. SOOO glad they were recommended to me.

I've been a patient at Rizkalla Dental for years and while I initially saw the father Dr. Bahaa Rizkall I have also been treated by the son Dr. Karim Rizkalla. I have had emergency visits, cracked teeth, etc. and they have been great. Dr. Karim fixed a bonding that broke and went above and beyond duty to make a beautiful repair knowing my daughters wedding was only 3 days away. Added bonus is the wonderful staff.

I had to change dentists due to insurance and I'm so glad I choose Rizkalla Dental. They worked hard to coordinate with my health issues and surgery dates. Everyone there was very kind and patient with me, from scheduling to cleaning with Julianna to Dr. Wessa and her assistant. And most importantly, they made sure I had no pain from the work I needed!

Rizkala dental is always very professional courteous, and helpful. I am very anxious when it comes to dental visits and this office is very accommodating and understanding. I appreciate the feedback and treatment plan advice given in a "gentle" manner. From the minute you walk in to when you leave all the staff are terrific. I have had some crown work root canals etc and it's just as comfortable as possible! Highly recommend.

I'm a new patient at Dr. Rizkalla's office. I'm very impressed and have already referred a friend! I was greeted immediately; insurance coverage was explained. I was taken right on time for my appointment, and received a very thorough cleaning by Juliana. She was very gentle, friendly and professional. Unfortunately she found the start of a cavity, so I'll be back in two weeks. They assured me Dr. Rizkalla is very gentle. I'll have to let you know!

Was forced to use them because they were on my dental insurance plan. Office staff is rude, unprofessional, loud, and downright obnoxious. Every time I got a teeth cleaning from here, my gums bled for at least a day because of how rough the hygienists were.
If you are someone who has had previous bad experiences at the dentist but need to get back in to one, do not go here. They will simply reinforce your fear of visiting the dentist's office.

They are the worst! We only used them because of our insurance. The office staff is very rude and unprofessional! The hygienists they hire are extremely rough. I would have to ask them to be careful. It made a difference, but why isn't "Being Careful" just part of their job?
I recommend getting your teeth drilled at Lowe's or Home Depot over Rizkalla!!!

Do not under any circumstances consider scheduling any appointments at this office with either of the dentists father or son. The staff is incredibly rude, incompetent and the skill of the elder dentist is very questionable. They do not care about their patients beyond getting paid. Such a waste of a beautiful old building

I have been to this dentist on a few occasions. I had Karim and he was great! The office staff was very helpful in explaining my coverage and offering me alternatives and options for the treatments that I needed. The dental assistants were great and patient when I told them that I was a baby when it came to the dentist. Karim himself was also very patient, very professional and a genuine nice guy. One of the better dental experiences I've ever had.

Desk staff can be abrupt. Hygienists are wonderful. Karim R. is the dentist to see: gentle, professional, does good work. His father Bahaa (is rude, unprofessional, bordering on sadistic. I have never been treated so aggressively in a dentist chair in 40 years, and had pain for 4 days after a simple filling replacement, (which was pain free except for occasional sensitivity to cold, prior). If he hates patients and dentristry so much that he has to send people home with torn lips and bone pain due to his angry interventions, he should get out of the business.
