Green, or natural burial is a way of caring for the dead with minimal environmental impact that aids in the conservation of natural resources, reduction of carbon emissions, protection of worker health, and the restoration and/or preservation of habitat. Green burial necessitates the use of non-toxic and biodegradable materials, such as caskets, shrouds, and urns.
Bereavement care and helping with the needs of those left to mourn the death of a loved one is an integral part of the services we provide. When death occurs, it is often accompanied by a period of adjustment for family and friends. This normal response is known as grieving. There is no "right" way to grieve, but it is important to do so since it is through the grieving process that healing is achieved.

Matt and his staff at Rumsey-Yost are true professionals. They did a great job with presentations, viewing, two services and transportation of my mom. We did compromise on few things which helped bring our costs down but still gave my dad peace of mind that he fulfilled my moms last wishes. I would highly recommend them too anyone!

Rumsey Yost did a great job with our difficult task in helping us make the arrangements for my Dad. They were very helpful from the first phone call through the service at the funeral home and through the service at the cemetery.
Todd made sure all of our questions were answered and any problems that arose were solved.
It is nice to know there was someone there who was compassionate and caring. Thanks

Never will I go with this funeral home again!!!! Terrible on follow-through, overall service, and calling me back! My mom's grave was left without a headstone for 8 1/2 months (she passed Sept. 2017) & no one stopped by to check on it! I found this out on Memorial Day 2017. Come to find out, their concrete company (CVI) placed my mom's headstone on someone else's grave!! Then, Rumsey-Yost blamed it on the city of Eudora. I did the research & the city did do their job. Three people had passed away around the same time, the city marked the graves, but CVI & Rumsey didn't even call to check with Eudora
