I can’t say how pleased I was with the service I received at Gates Auto Repair! I have a commuter car that I’ve been trying to keep running as long as I can and as it ages - it requires repairs. I noticed a flapping sound from underneath the hood and wasn’t sure what it could be. I called Gates Auto Repair and they were so friendly and professional. I was able to schedule a service date and use their easy after hours drop box. I received a phone call once they were able to diagnose the flapping noise - it was the water pump! Ugh! Just bought an old Sequoia and wanted to see what the alignment looked like due to a light pull to the right. Brad test drove it to confirm, got it on the rack and did an actual inspection of everything before starting - not just throwing it on to do a toe-and-go. He let me know a camber/caster adjuster was seized and spinning with a bushing inner sleeve which will require replacement to actually fix the problem. Highly recommend due to the no-nonsense explanation of what is needed, and attention to detail that is sorely lacking at most shops. They care about diagnosing correctly and fixing things

They're either booked for weeks or they're insurance won't cover the work. Like booked for weeks I get. Being busy as a business is what you want. But I tried to get some tires moved from one set of wheels to another due to a crack in a rim and supposedly their insurance won't cover the work. My tires still have the stickers on them from the previous installation. With the fact that there's a race track within an HR and lots of locals are into running, youd think they'd be willing to help their local car people. Even more so when these tires are for track purposes. Which I stated clearly. Insurance

GAR is amazing!! I have taken my vehicles there several times, and they are incredibly fair in service and price. Husband and wife team who are super friendly, follow up reliably, and are very thorough. They have even checked out "funny sounds," etc, and not charged me a dime if it's a quick fix or something they can't do. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

I went in for an oil change on Monday and asked if Brad would look into why I didn't have any heat and why my car was running hot. Within minutes, I knew the answer. I not only needed a thermostat but a new housing as well. By Thursday afternoon my car was back on the road, running great, and now I'm the one who overheats. Great service, very knowledgeable and personable. I will definitely use them in the future !!!

Jenny always puts up with my numerous and, sometimes, silly questions. And Brad always seem to go above and beyond expectations!
They’re always straightforward and upfront with the severity of our issues (there’s more a few 😅) And they always inspect with a fine toothed comb! Very reasonable turn around and we love that’s it’s a solo mechanic because we don’t feel like we get lost in the shuffle.

My registration was about to run out and my Subaru had almost 60,000 miles on it; therefore, it actually failed the 1st inspection due to the tires. I really appreciate his honesty!He and his wife were so helpful; they got 4 new tires ordered and when I returned, he replaced the 4 tires, aligned them, and changed the oil. He and his wife are very professional, friendly, and the prices were great too! I recommend this place to anybody that needs their vehicles serviced or repaired.

I brought my car to them several months ago and they fixed it quickly. Just today I had an issue with another car (with alarm going off) and he was able to stop it! They are very nice and helpful people. I feel lucky to have them right around the corner. I will be using them for all my car needs from now on!
