Services
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
Our practice values each individual child, and we recognize that children with special health care needs require a dental practice that is open and understanding. Children with special health care often experience a higher risk of oral diseases which can effect their quality of life and long term health.
For more information concerning pediatric dentistry, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.
If the procedure was in the lower jaw, then the tongue, teeth, lip and surrounding tissue will be numb or asleep. If the procedure was in the upper jaw, then the teeth, lip and surrounding tissue will be numb or asleep. Often, children do not understand the effects of local anesthesia, and may chew, scratch, suck, or play with the numb area.

Not very impressed with doctor Matt for being a specialist in children. Told me that my child will either need to be restrained to the chair, or go to the medical center to have her dental work done. Also treated my daughter with just fluoride for her cavities for 2 years because of her anxiety of having dental work done, now to the point where she will have to have 3 teeth extracted. Would have been nice to have found a solution before it got to this point.

Our first visit was great. At the second appointment, we did not get the same Dr who performed a pediatric root canal on the wrong teeth, treated my son poorly and traumatized him. He was very short with my husband, and very confrontational with me during a follow up phone conversation. My son had to revisit our primary dentist to get correct procedure. The office attempted to send us to collections for the Dr's error.
