Throughout the years he cultivated a personal and business ethic with many families in need throughout Genesee County. After his untimely death in May of 1970 his funeral business was purchased by Ron Konieczny in 1971 after his Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A second funeral home was established in 1982 on 32 John Street in Akron, NY, continuing with the traditions of personalized professional funeral service.

Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

Report
My mother was 96, an Alzheimer's victim, when she passed. Ron Konieczny II had her beauty shine through for her Wake, and the procession to the church and cemetery was as for royalty. With utmost respect for Mom's burial wishes, each detail was done with heartfelt care. Me, and my family, would recommend McAndrew's Funeral Home highly.
