The students would not stop talking about how awesome the field trip was. They usually don't get the opportunity to get out of their own neighborhoods, so they were definitely fascinated by going to an actual museum. Telfair Museums has been a part of Savannah for more than 120 years, but only because of people like you-people who loved experiencing art and enriching their community, and who recognized one as a bridge to the other!
Telfair Museums offers a unique understanding of Savannah's place in our collective American past through art, history, and architecture. Mary Telfair's 19th-century vision has uplifted the people of this city and beyond for more than a century. Her legacy continues to inspire. Located in Savannah's Historic District, Telfair Museums is comprised of three unique sites.
In addition to street parking, the Robinson parking garage is right next to the Jepson Center and Telfair Academy, and the State Street garage is just across the square from the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters. Please check the City of Savannah's website for the most current information. Each parking garage and lot has different rates.
Telfair Museums welcomes award-winning Chef Theodore Paskevich and Culinary Ambassador Donald Holland to the Jepson Center for a new cafe experience, Joe's At The Jepson! Enjoy a fusion of relaxed dining and casual gourmet cuisine through an evolving artisanal menu inspired by the museum's permanent collections and rotating exhibitions.

This was a unique chance to visit downtown Savannah and check out the Telfair Museum. This was actually part of a stop on a ghost tour I was on which was an added perk. The museum is interesting to see, but my group was limited to the area to visit. If you'd like to see the full location, I would suggest you book a tour of the museum directly.

Telfair is must if you're an art lover visiting Savannah. This museum is has a variety of classic art from around the 1800s-1900s. This museum is a nice choice if you're not into modern art. Telfair is one of the most beautiful museums I've visited. From the art to the furniture, everything is impeccable. I could sit in here all day just admiring the beauty of the building. There are three floors in total showcasing different art styles. I highly recommend visiting Telfair if you're looking for something to do and want to see some spectacular art and architecture.

Paid $74.09 for their 46th holiday tour of homes and inns. It was less of a holiday tour and more sales pitch. I’ve been on these before where we visited 6 or 8 grand homes that were professionally decorated for Christmas. This was just 4 museum homes that we have already seen, 4 inns that were very basic and just using this for marketing and 8 upper middle class homes that were not professionally decorated for Christmas. Many people on the tour felt it was just a high priced home tour. Also, the volunteers are not consistent from house to house. 4 houses let us wear our shoes, 2 were okay with

Literally so confused how this beautiful museum has anything less than 5 stars...? Its a lovely mix of curated 1800s-1900s art and you get a peak at the architecture and living quarters at that time. It's a mix of so many beautiful modalities. It has 3 floors and gorgeous furniture to sit and gaze at some awe inspiring pieces.
To be fair, we came on the Savannah Locals day so our tickets were free but I would go and gladly pay the 20+$ to spend an hour or two.

We held our wedding reception at the Jepson Center and it was a stunning backdrop for the evening. i also thought the venue was pretty reasonable compared to other venues. We paid additional to have the galleries open during cocktail hour and it was well worth it as guests really enjoyed that. Working with the Jepson Center was also very easy.

Great spot especially for young kids. 2nd and 3rd floor had interactive Artzeum experiences where kids could build and do art projects.
The building is well designed with natural light pouring in and a very open feel. Small cafe service downstairs. Exhibits had some range and a good amount of digital art. You can spend a nice afternoon here. Highly recommended.

This museum, which was included in the ticket price for the Owens-Thomas House and Slave Quarters, provided a diversion while we waited for our tour time.
We had just over and hour and were told that was sufficient to view the Telfair, which was about a 10-minute walk away.
It was a rushed visit but we did get to see everything in this small museum. That included a hodgepodge of paintings, statues, and furniture.
It was a satisfactory diversion but not one I'd recommend unless you have an art interest. There wasn't much in each format or style, so the Telfair was more a sampler of

Great museum to go in conjunction with the Telfair Museum across the way! Lots for kids and adults to admire and do! Lots of space to roam around, beautiful floor to ceiling Windows with tons of natural light in the space, and some great architecture! And I loved seeing the statue from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil! Would definitely go back!

I didn't spend as much time as I would have liked to during my visit because I had an appointment to get to, but I did get enough of a glimpse to say the art and sculptures are worth the trip.

What to say about the Jepson Center for the Arts?
It's a breath of fresh air, literally, in the hot Savannah summers.
The facade is so modern, yet so respectful of the colonial architecture that it makes you want to stay in forever. Admission includes the other 2 Telflair Museums. The gift shop and restaurants are right up front making you want to stay in the lobby but don't, keep going in and be amazed!
Jepsen has more contemporary art.
Great job!

Savannah...you don't come here for the art, or at least very few people do. However, it was raining like crazy all afternoon, and we just wanted to be somewhere indoors, with AIR CONDITIONING!
Added Bonus: the art was pretty good too! I'm no art history major or a self taught hippy painter, but appreciate a good painting, elegant sculpture, or the weird modern pieces that old conservatives can't stand.
$20 per an adult, but that also gets you into a couple other attractions too, such as the historical Owens House.

I eagerly anticipated my visit here because every time I've been in Savannah over the years, my timing never worked out. I made it a point, this time, to come to Savannah just to come here.
Maybe my expectations were too high but the Telfair is only fair. Sure, it's a great old building with a long history. The Rotunda Gallery is an expansive and impressive room to lounge about looking at the paintings on the wall. The upstairs galleries are tiny, though, and bumping into other visitors can't be helped.

If you like small house museums, this is the place for you. Are there Monet and Degas? Nope. BUT it's a lovely house and they have a delightful collection of local art (especially American impressionists, probably about 30 works). They also have some small historical exhibits and period rooms. The nearby affiliated Jepson Center has a nice rotating collection of modern work.
Is this museum by itself worth the price admission? Probably not. But it also gets you into two other museums (the Jepson, which does modern art, and the Owens-Thomas House, a period museum which does tours). I didn&apos
