The Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) is a regional transit system that services the City of Worcester and the surrounding 36 communities in the Central Massachusetts area with a bus fleet that includes all-electric buses as well as many diesel-electric hybrid buses. The second largest regional transit authority in Massachusetts, the WRTA offers reliable, comfortable, and safe transportation for traveling to work, shopping, school, medical appointments, and leisure activities.

The Authority is given general responsibility to develop, finance, and contract for the operation of mass transportation facilities and services within its territory.
All of the WRTA fixed route services use electric, diesel hybrid or diesel buses and vans. Transit advertising reaches more people, per dollar, than any other medium. Let the WRTA distribute your client's or business' message to the entire city of Worcester and its 11 surrounding communities. The WRTA strives to make continuous improvements to help our ridership and improve the overall experience with our organization.
The WRTA Customer Service Center is conveniently located at 60 Foster Street (Hub), Worcester. Customer service representatives are readily available to assist transit riders Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. closed Sundays.

A representative will respond within 48 hours of the next business day after your call.
During this extension there will be no fares collected on the fixed route and paratransit services. Reduced Fare Passes and fares can be used by the Elderly and Disabled showing a valid id that must be presented to the driver at the time of boarding. A reduced fare One Day Pass (8 rides) may be purchased for children ages 5 to 13 who are accompanied by an adult.

Cash, pre-approved checks, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express cards may be used to purchase tickets and passes at the above locations.

There should be a bus to the Barnes and Noble store in Millbury. Poor people like to read too.

The Worcester Regional Transit Center local buses, long destination buses, and a train station. It's always very clean and secured by security. There is a Dunkin Donuts as well as a snack stand and vending machines.
