The staff was pleasant, courteous and helpful. Dr. Bartels was as kind and patient as always and didn't seem to mind taking a few extra minutes to answer my questions and concerns. I cannot think of anything they could have done to make my appointment a better one. Dr. Bartels is awesome, but his staff is AMAZING!
Style is truly a personal preference and reflection of one's personality. Styles come and go, but there are basic guidelines that all styles and time adhere to. We will gladly share our wealth of experience in frame selection, based on your cosmetic, lifestyle, and ophthalmic needs. I have been coming to Big Lake Eye Care for the last 5 years and trust Dr. Bartels and his staff with my continued eye care. I don't even live in Okeechobee anymore, but continue to be a patient because I know I will get the best care. I come in yearly for my eye exam and throughout the year if needed. I have allergy issues and Dr. Bartels has always been able to help me get them under control.

I spent over $200 on a pair of sunglasses with polarized lenses. When I wore the glasses I felt nauseous and off balance. I brought them back the following month and was told by the optometrist there was nothing wrong with the prescription or my eyes. He advised me to continue wearing them and then bring them back if I had further problems as it would not cost him anything to change the lenses.
