Buying and selling property can be a very complicated process. Your REALTOR is an expert and can help you navigate your transaction; but it's also important for you, as a consumer, to be educated. The Coastal Association of REALTORS strives to help the general public better understand this process, while also educating consumers on why they should always seek out the expertise of a REALTOR for all their real estate needs.
Buying and selling property is a highly complex process and you'll want to work with a local, accurate, and trusted professional to ensure you and your financial interests are protected. Our REALTORS aren't just agents. They're professional members of the National Association of REALTORS and subscribe to its strict Code of Ethics.
The Coastal Association of REALTORS (CAR) is dedicated to protecting private property rights by advocating for REALTORS, affiliate members, property owners, home buyers, and sellers through our Government Affairs Program. CAR's Government Affairs Director (GAD) represents the association to foster strong relationships with local elected officials and monitor local ordinances and legislative actions affecting the real estate industry.
The influence and impact of the REALTOR family reaches far beyond Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore. In addition to local advocacy, REALTORS and affiliate members are also very active at the state and national levels, working closely with elected officials to ensure the future of our industry and of the American dream of homeownership.
Since 1969, the REALTORS Political Action Committee (RPAC) has promoted the election of pro-real estate candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: REALTORS and affiliate members raise and spend money to elect candidates who understand and support their industry, private property rights, and the American dream of owning a home.
