I needed a very expensive medication for my arthritic knee. The copay through my insurance was very high. The insurance company considered it Medicare Part B (medical), rather than Part D (prescriptions). Cindy called me about the copay because it was almost $200. Since I am on Disability, $200 is a lot for me. She informed me that I was showing Medi-Cal as part of my insurance eligibility, which I wasn’t aware of. I went over to CalOptima office the next day, and was able to change my insurance. This resulted in a change in how the medication was classified to Part D (prescriptions). As I have
