A sociologist by study and a photographer by training, I have 20 years of experience as a professional photographer, incorporating both classic and modern styles with an emphasis on photojournalism and documentary style photography.

In addition to his keen editorial eye when it comes to photos, Scott was also able to expertly help us navigate through the wedding photography planning process.We went into our wedding with several wedding photo venues and shots in mind, and Scott was able to create a timeline that allowed us to use each venue, and capture each group, while sticking to a fairly tight schedule.

An engagement photo session is the perfect way to do a practice run of what it will be like to work with Scott on your wedding day. It is also a great way for us to get to know each other and get a feel for each others' styles. One-hour engagement sessions can be added to a wedding photo package for $200, or can be arranged independent of a wedding contract.

I can't say enough nice things about working with Scott. Easy going, but organized, it was smooth sailing from the start. He was responsive leading up, he was punctual and a total pro. We enjoyed the entire process, he took charge and made suggestions as needed and hung back and captured the night when not. We (and all of our guests) are thrilled with the pictures. I can't wait to order our album. In the meantime he had sent us 'sneak peak' pics right after the wedding and within 2-3 weeks we had our thumb drive. And he's a really nice guy on top of it all!

Scott was wonderful to work with! We did an engagement shoot with him which was a great way to get to know him, then he did the wedding day a week later. He's incredibly nice and easygoing, very professional, and the photos looked awesome. His background is in photojournalism, and we liked that he was able to capture a few more "typical" formal shots while also really capturing the spirit of the day. HIGHLY recommend!

Scott is the best! We live in the Washington DC are and have had Scott do our family portraits twice when he was in town for other work. I cannot say enough good things about him - from scheduling the appointment, to making the photo shoot enjoyable and relaxed, to delivering the images in less than two weeks, to the superb quality of the photos, everything was wonderful. I would recommend Scott again and again!

Scott did an amazing job with our wedding pictures. He was open to doing whatever photos we wanted and didn't have an issue with the huge list of different pictures I wanted. We got our pictures quickly after the wedding and he did an amazing job making them look perfect. When we need a photographer again in the future Scott will definitely be our go to.

We loved working with Scott! We loved his work and his personality. He is a great person and that comes through in how he works with his clients. He is also a really calming presence - definitely a plus! He helped us think through what photos we wanted and photos best fit in with the day's events too. This year marks our 5 year wedding anniversary and we still think of him fondly and love looking through the photos he captured from our wedding. In Scott we found a collaborator, a confidante, a co-conspirator, and perhaps even a friend (we like to think so). Over the course of two days (small civil ceremony in Central Park, and larger family event in the Berkshires) Scott displayed poise and professionalism on every front. Prior to our wedding(s) he mapped out a gameplan to capture the 'must-have' images (group shots for our families), and executed the organization of these shots flawlessly. He also excelled at capturing those fly-on-the-wall images that you don't realize are happening, until you see the joy of the moment in the photos

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Scott. He was an absolute joy to work with. We receive so many compliments on our wedding photos. My husband and I had planned an intimate ceremony (5 people, including us). While we didn’t want a big wedding, we still wanted to have beautiful photos to share with our friends and family. Scott did our engagement photos and wedding photos. We've also had him take family photos every year since our daughter was born. They're all amazing. He takes beautiful pictures, and he makes you feel totally comfortable while he does them. A friend of the family who saw our wedding pictures remarked that they were the best he'd seen in 60 years. Scott captured all of the moments and emotions of the best day of my life (so far), in an anxiety-free and easy-going and professional manner -- and he wasn't even close to the most expensive part of the wedding.

Scott did my wedding and also two of my daughters. He manages to be unobtrusive and yet gets all of the important shots and they are wonderful photos.
I think for what you get you would pay two or three times his rate. If you look on his website his photography in general is at the very highest level. You can't go wrong when you get a nice guy, a good rate, and incredible photos.
One of my daughters and now also her friends have also used Scott to take family portraits and they have also been amazing, I"m looking at a photo of my granddaughter that he took that is really incredible

Scott is the most phenomenal wedding photographer. I love his style--he manages to take so many photos without getting in the way of the action. He's affordable, his work is superb, and he's really a pleasure to have around. I'm so happily married, but wish I had an excuse to use Scott's services more often!
