My wife and I were looking to have a deck built in our backyard and wanted it to be constructed out of Ipe wood, a high-end hardwood imported from Brazil, which is far more expensive than pressure treated lumber. We got quotes form 2 different contractors but they were both cost prohibitive. When we were almost ready to abandon the project, a friend of ours told us about Morrissey Decks & Custom Carpentry.

I used Morrissey Construction for a set of deck stairs leading to a second floor unit and also my front porch with a small tin roof. And an outdoor, enclosed shower. When I met with Tracey, the owner, he was extremely knowledgeable and offered some great ideas! I ended up going with sliding barn doors for my shower and having him replace an entire back deck!! His pricing was awesome and he started when he said he would. The front steps to the second story unit took 3 days! The side porch, roof, shower and back deck took 8 days! Amazing and beautiful work!! Definitely recommend them!

When everyone else was trying to be arugula after both hurrican s, Tracy and his crew saved our job!
