In 1978, Tom and Barbara Trofe began Bright Beginnings West Private Preschool out of their desire as parents to have access to quality education and child care in a clean, safe, nurturing environment. Tom and Barbara and all of their staff love interacting with children at a young age to help nurture their learning skills and ensure their future success.
Our Baby Steps program gives your child a happier, healthier, well rounded foundation for the future. Available for children age 1 to 2 1/2. Baby Steps will help prepare them for school and life. Your toddler will explore different textured materials, play Peek-A-Boo, and complete simple puzzles. Our teachers read books and poems, sing songs, and teach your child how to put on finger plays.
Preschool can be an exciting process for your child at Bright Beginnings West. At our private preschool in Pitman, NJ, your child's introduction to learning will be filled with wonderful learning and play experiences. Let their first impression of school be a positive one! Our professional staff of educators, are carefully selected for their educational backgrounds and past preschool experiences.
We are excited to announce that the theme for this summer will be "Healthy Life Styles". Exercise, healthy eating, and technology CAN co-exist! We will show the children how to have fun while exercising, prepare healthy snacks, and use their minds all at the same time! Each day we begin with the children exercising, stretching and doing activities like children's yoga.
At what age does the school begin accepting children and do they need to be potty trained? From time to time field trips are scheduled. However, parents sign a permission form in order for a child to attend any trip. Parents are also invited to attend trips. Transportation is provided by school buses.

My daughter who is now 5 is finishing up her 2nd year at bright beginnings and I have to say I love this school. If you are looking for a school as opposed to just a daycare this is exactly where you want to be. It is family owned and operated and it is the same owners of the school from when I went to this school as a child and they are very hands on.
My list of strong pros:
-one of the lowest tuition schools in the area and offers the most
-teachers are required to hold 4 year degrees which was something I was not finding at many other schools that were more expensive

I visited and looked around for awhile before deciding to choose Bright Beginnings in Pitman. My daughter is constantly involved in activities and is learning a lot. They have parent-friendly policies and also a summer camp. I always recommend them to anyone who is looking for a preschool and would encourage you to visit their facility to make the decision yourself.
