I was in town for a month and needed to find yoga. I've been practicing for about 10 years so I've come to appreciate a certain level of seasoned teachers that can challenge me. I took class pretty much every day I was there and loved each teacher and their unique styles. This is a top notch studio with excellent teachers. Trust me, I visited a lot of studios. The intro offer was a great deal! Mat & towel rental available, props offered, filtered water refill station, free locking lockers, showers, and easy parking. The vibe is calming with plenty of beautiful plants in the lobby

Truthfully, Anchorage Yoga is one of the best studios I have ever practiced at. Beautiful practice space that they continue to care for, genuine teachers and staff who show compassion and welcome you with open arms. Takes immense gumption, resilience, and love to support a yoga community that is so kind! Eternally grateful.

Horrible business tactics... went in for a trial month to try out a new yoga studio and was told it was not offered anymore after the fact. No mention of a 3 month minimum contract at any point during the process. It was pulling teeth to get my auto-renew cancelled which I was told I could do at any time at sign up.
Response I received from Nichole Teeter- the Accounts Specialist:
"As I mentioned, we only offer half off of the first month of membership ($79) when you make a commitment of at least 3 months. With the AYC membership specifically, we do not even offer a one month pass for both

I've been coming to this studio since I moved to Anchorage. It was one of the first activities I did that made me feel like I was part of a community, despite being in a brand new place. Especially in those first few years, the classes helped immeasurably in managing stress of a new and demanding job. I had never tried yoga before and now I have been coming to this studio off and on for years. The instructors are great, and I love the wide variety of classes, from meditation to hot flow. I feel lucky that we have this studio in Anchorage.

One of the best yoga studios I've ever attended (even in the lower 48). Every instructor is top notch, especially Katey, the owner. She has extensive experience and I've loved every class I've had with her. They offer many classes at all times of the day and many different types of yoga is offered. Try it and you will not be disappointed!

This is the MOST AMAZING yoga studio that I have ever had the good fortune to visit. Thanks to instructor, Nicole, and Director, Katey, for managing such a tremendous and beautiful studio. This studio is hands down, the cleanest, most spacious and most welcoming of any studio that I have ever visited. I Loved the complementary water refill stations, packets of Emergen-C, bath and hand towels. I wish that I could transport this studio to Santa Monica, so that I could enjoy! I came here having just completed a half-marathon the day before. The 90-minute hot yoga session (26 x 2) absolutely helped

The teachers here are wonderful, teaching a diverse array of classes for all levels. Everyone is very kind and welcoming. The space is beautiful, the studios are exactly what I look for in a practice space. I am really glad I got a membership and I look forward to continuing my practice at Anchorage Yoga.

Anchorage Yoga is more like a gym than a yoga studio. It is almost void of any spiritual practices and growth. I practiced almost every day for two months and not a single instructor remembered my name. Although Anchorage Yoga is very clean and set up with ample amenities, the environment felt very sterile and unwelcoming. I was in a car accident on my way to a yoga practice, injuring my shoulder, collar bone, and 1st rib. The staff at Anchorage Yoga were rude when trying to suspend my membership, argued about my condition very unsympathetically, and charged me fees when I eventually cancelled

How have I not reviewed this place?
I'll keep it short, because I'm sure you get the hint by other reviews:
1. Very clean, atmosphere is everything.
2. Instructors push you, but not to the point of discomfort.
3. There are many classes available for each type of yogi.
Easy review: This place is great.

This place is a total waste of time and money for advanced practitioners.
I've practiced yoga daily for the past 7 years-- I mainly practice jivamukti, with a mix of vinyasa and ashtanga. I would characterize my practice as intermediate-advanced. I'm mostly familiar with the NYC and DC yoga scene. I'm in Anchorage for a year and have yet to find a decent studio--I've been practicing daily at home, but found myself really missing the community feel of a studio. I was also worried that I would be rusty once I'm back in my Manhattan home studio. So I set out to try the
