We were traveling through with our pickup and RV and needed a tire repair. I called they had the correct RV tire. When I pulled in, they had me park right in front and started on the job quickly: mounted new tire on original rim and swapped it out with spare on the trailer. Perfect. One hour, start to finish and we were back on 395 heading south. My wife and I sure appreciate the promptness and friendly attitude towards us. Quick, honest, and affordable service. They were able to fit in service for my van with little notice. Incredibly friendly owner, service representatives, and technicians who explained to me what was wrong with my vehicle. If you live in your vehicle there is a small area in the back with water, power, a picnic table, and trees for shade. $25 per night should you choose to stay in your vehicle overnight, and there is a Chevron right next door if you need ice, restroom, etc.

Blew a tire at Twin Lakes outside of Bridgeport. Rode the spare and a busted alignment nut into Bridgeport. Called several places, and Bishop Auto was the only shop that had the tire size I needed. I drove from Bridgeport to Bishop, the tire was changed quickly and at a very fair price. Further damage was realized to the alignment. It was over 100 degrees the day I went there, the techs were going to go home early due to the heat. Mario was walking back from a break and asked if he could take a look. He knew the problem right away and said he could fix it. He easily could have left for the day

Awesome place. We had a blowout coming into Bishop. Searched several tire shops, No one had street tires readily availible. Bishop Automotive was able to get my like tires in 1 day and the were only $60 diff from Costco (installed). They arrived and were installed in less than 1 hour. Had us on the road back on vacation. Awesome service, excellent help, thank you.
Even had a dog potty area (grass) in front of the business for our dog while waiting.

We were on vacation when our air conditioner gave out. It was very hot outside so we needed it to work NOW. I thought it would be an easy fix, just add some Freon, but it was more complicated than that.. They checked it out, sent for the right part, and then repaired it. They only charged us a very fair price. They were GREAT! Thank You for saving our vacation!

All I can say is "WOW!!" We had brake issues coming down the highway from Nevada and no one else had an availability. This shop had an appointment the same day and we were able to get our brakes checked out quickly. They were very honest and told us the brakes were fine and did not need any servicing! Almost any other shop would probably try to take advantage of us and charge us for services that we didn't need. Aftermath: I broke down about 30 miles south of Big Pine going home to LA County AFTER having my vehicle serviced here. Needless to say, I wasn't going to take it back to this shop after I had to make a trip back here just to retrieve the vehicle, but I am disappointed that my issue was diagnosed incorrectly and was told that my problem was just the battery.

These guys saved our trip. Brake rotors gave out 15 miles out of town, called 5 shops in the area all booked out, but these guys said they'd try to get it done today. They put new rotors in for cheaper than my lowball expectation, told me they noticed my steering wheel was clicking and they were worried about my power steering, but then figured out it was a factory recall for a plastic ring and the clicking is totally harmless. I was in and out in a few short hours. Was a little worried being at the mercy of a back alley shop hundreds of miles from home, but these guys were the nicest most professional

On our way back home from our vacation we stopped to have a car looked at. They were super busy and didn't have time to get me in. I believe it was the manager and one of his mechanics came out to the vehicle and listen to the noises I was hearing the mechanic even took me on a drive so I could show him what I was talking about and then they gave me the information I needed at no charge. This is by far one of the best experiences I've had. No matter what it is they have my business.

Class act. Had some tire trouble on 395 and was stuck in Bishop for 24 hours waiting for new tires to arrive. Couldn’t have had a better experience, from my first conversation where I was reassured they help me get back on the road ASAP, through to their follow up call a week later to make sure all was well... these guys are solid.

Bishop automotive fixed a bad tire balance job another local shop did. The two men working on my tires did a great job and showed me what I suspected, that the other shop screwed me over. Customer service was friendly as well, I'll definitely be coming back to this shop. Great service, great prices good job guys!

Got a full service oil change here. The guys are pretty awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. If you're up in this area and need some work done definitely recommend them. They do a heck of a lot more than just oil changes. I do recommend making an appointment. It makes your wait time shorter and insuring you'll get in and out much quicker. Keep in mind they are closed on the weekends.

My husband and I are very grateful for the dedicated problem-solving of the Bishop Automotive team that worked on our Subaru. For over six months, we'd had a mysterious issue, a loud banging noise going over bumps that would only begin occurring after 2-3 miles on rough dirt roads. I called ahead for a quote and went in for new tires. I spoke to Nate and he looked at all my tires and checked out the one with more wear. I was so honest and said I was good - no need for tires. I have a Subaru Forester so when you change your tires you need to do all four so it was great news for me. This is an honest establishment. It was also during COVID-19 and they had good measures to feel safe. I came to Bishop. Automotive because of their good reviews. I'm happy to give them another 5 stars.

We're visiting in Bishop, driving a rental car, and picked up a nail in one of the tires. We found Bishop Automotive Center on Yelp with great reviews. Brought my truck in because the steering wheel was all wonky. ..and a tire or brake was squeaking. Almost 200$ bucks after another alignment and removing a plastic cap off one of the tie rods/drag link bar... These guys fixed services that other mechanics were clearly incompetent at.

These guys are awesome. My check engine light came on while camping nearby, and they were the only ones willing to try and diagnose it (it's a '92 so there isn't a machine for it, just a trick with a paper clip.) They took their time troubleshooting it and got me in and out with the light turned off. I can't say THANKS enough!!

Two years ago, I purchased a new tire (Firestone)from these people for my rv. It de-laminated last week and caused significant damage to my rv. I then found that the tire should have never been installed due to a firestone recall. It was also manufactured in 2006! I purchased it new from these guys in 2015! It was already nine years old when I bought it new. If we had caused an accident from this blow out I'm sure lawyers would love this one..
