Many people plan for life events such as weddings and vacations well in advance, but many people do not plan for something that is certain to happen, their funeral. While most people do not want to think about their own mortality, the time to pre-plan your funeral is now.
The primary advantages of pre-arranging your funeral is to relieve the burden on your loved ones in an already emotional time, and to ensure your funeral is carried out according to your wishes, eliminating the task of second-guessing what you would have wanted.Taking the time now to arrange your funeral is one less thing your loved ones will need to worry about once you've passed.

These articles will help you understand something about the grief and how we can help ourselves and others through the difficult process. These articles were written by Dr Bill Webster, Director of Grief Education, and are part of a comprehensive library available on our Grief Journey web portal. Dr Bill is the founder and Executive Director of the Center for the Grief Journey.
Over the years, there have been numerous attempts to explain it. Perhaps the most influential and well-known theory has been that of Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, who in her 1969 book "On Death and Dying" focused on an emotional transition through five stages, beginning with denial and progressing through anger, bargaining and depression before arriving at acceptance.

I attended a funeral here this past week for my cousin. I was very displeased with the services provided to our family.
They rushed my family after services, didn't print enough obituaries, had technical difficulties during the service, the mortician did not do a good job of doing the make-up of the deceased, and they opened the casket during the funeral when it was supposed to stay closed after family night.
Then at the gravesite, we wanted to throw a handful of dirt into the grave, and there was some dirt a few feet away that would've been fine, but they decided to get an entire backhoe of

I would like to take the time to specially thank Green Hill in early January for the job they did taking care of me and our family during the time of my mother's passing. Since our gathering was small, it worked out perfect that Green Hill was able to do the services at their chapel as well as the burial to follow. It was such a relief to handle everything at the same time. They were very accommodating to our family to come in and let us to use a meeting room to plan the arrangements with our pastor. Tom was excellent in helping us gather what was needed in such a short time. His facility had all

When my mom passed away in early December, I really wasn't prepared to choose a funeral home for her service. I am so glad I selected Green Hill Funeral Home. Due to the professionalism of Tom and Annette helping me make decisions and plan, my mom's service and burial were beautiful and very meaningful to all who were able to attend to pay tribute to her. I highly recommend Green Hill to anyone who has lost a loved one.

My wife passed about a week before Christmas and we had to plan everything in a very short time frame and Green Hill accommodated everything we needed and helped honor my wife’s memory. They fit us in to their already busy schedules. They are very affordable and have been a pleasure to work with, outside of the circumstances that brought us to do business with them, of course. Next time, in the unfortunate event someone else close passes we will use Green Hill again

I am flabbergasted at the kindness and proficiency and attentiveness and care of the Green Hill Sapulpa Cemetery. Just overwhelmed, at the willingness to sit down and talk to me and share their knowledge, experiences and wisdom with me. Thank you -- all 8 of you who have commiserated with me! -- Thank you owner Tom Dugan and the other 7 of you. You heard me out, you did not deny me, you did not dismiss my words. I am so glad my mother's and father's bodies are in your keeping! All i can say is THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU

When my father passed in August 2015, Tom and the staff at Green Hill were amazing! My father passed in TX and the coordination with the funeral home in TX was handled seamlessly to get my father to Oklahoma. The pre-planning my folks had done with Green Hill in years prior also paid off. Tom had the file with all the details. The planning, selection and coordination of all the details was so much easier. And of course Tom and the staff were so patient, kind and gracious through the process. We appreciated the professional, personal and compassionate care that Tom and the Green Hill Staff provided

We were shocked when dad passed and when we went in to see him one last time we were given as much time as we wanted to spend with him. The people at Green Hill were very accommodating to all of our needs in getting our dads service ready. His death was sudden, so having Tom there to help with getting the video prepared, the songs picked out, and then speaking at his service was a blessing. It was a relief to know that we could wait on dads financials to be settled so we could take care of everything. My family will always have a strong connection to Green Hill and will always use them.
