Midwest born and raised, Dr. Hogg grew up in a rural community in Indiana. He stayed in his home state to attend the University of Evansville, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology. During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Hogg was drawn toward a career in medicine and ultimately decided on the Indiana University School of Optometry, where he graduated with a Doctorate in Optometry.

Dr. Hogg did a fine job with my husband and I for which I have no complaints. However my five year old was seen here and while the job got done, the office really wasn’t geared towards kids at all. When I called about them seeing kids initially the receptionist said she could be seen if she knew her letters. They didn’t have any shapes appropriate for young kids (numbers yes) but beware of this for younger ones. Several other things while sufficient were not ideal for young children. My experience with Dr Hogg and his office staff was fantastic. Each staff member I had interaction with was kind and professional.
I have sensitive eyes and Dr Hogg was able to fit me with contacts quickly with my changing vision needs. He know his stuff. I highly recommend Meridian Vision and Dr Hogg.

I have gone to Meridian Vision for about 17 years and I have always enjoyed the girls up front and today was no different. We had trouble with the first set of lenses but Bre got them returned and remade and today when I picked them up I was so happy with how the fit and how well I could see. I am very happy there and can't see me ever going any place else. Thank you Bre for your expertise and kindness.

Really wanted to help a local business around my town.. but honestly these guys are unprofessional and way over priced for what they are. Frames cost an arm and a leg and even with insurance it's costly. Regardless don't go here for frames or lens, America's best will take care of you for half the price. I've walked out of Meridian Vision twice within the month upset and irritated. Not worth the time

Came in just to get my glasses sized to my face after I lost weight. Didn’t even buy them from this place but they were so sweet, quick, and efficient. I was willing to pay for the excellent job she did and she just said “payment is the smile on your face” how awesome?! Will do business with them in the future :)

I had an eye exam here 2 years ago and bought a pair of glasses I loved! The process was timely and no problems. The real cement for my loyalty was yesterday. I was driving and all of a sudden I had a burst of what looked like black spider veins in my right eye. I couldn't blink them away and I was terrified. I pulled over and called Meridian Vision. The darling receptionist, Christina answered. I explained what was happening. She calmly said "You need to come here now, ok?" I was a half mile from them so I drove there. They took me right away and the doctor took great care of me

I have been a long time customer (over 15 years) and have been going to him since I was a kid. My fiance changed jobs to an out of state one and was about to lose his insurance. I called to see if we could get his prescription filled for another year so he would have contacts until he got insurance again (standard 6 month waiting period and kicks in on the 7th month) and they said no because he was due for an exam next month. The front desk lady said that they would not be able to fill them because of legal reasons, when I asked what the law was she would not answer me and kept trying to answer

I can't say enough about Meridian Vision! I've been going to them for more than 16 years, and I keep coming back. Dr. McElroy is extremely professional, thorough, and has a very kind and caring manner about him. The staff at Meridian Vision is friendly and professional, and has always done a great job at helping me with each new pair of glasses that I need. Today I am enjoying a new pair of prescription glasses as well as a new pair of sunglasses. They are awesome! Thanks MV for all you do!
