Star Shuttle & Charter, based in San Antonio, Texas, is a privately owned and operated company by the Walker family of San Antonio and Walker Resources, Inc. The Walkers began with a six-car operation in 1963, which evolved into Advantage Rent-A-Car, an international car rental company with its corporate headquarters and international reservation systems in San Antonio, Texas.
Star Shuttle treats employees as partners who help us to deliver quality customer services. We employ lots of drivers - chauffeurs, transit drivers, school bus drivers, CDL motor coach drivers and non-CDL entry level drivers for services such as paratransit services. Also, we often have support positions open in the areas of accounting, administration, group sales, training and call center positions.
Star Shuttle, Inc. operates two brands so that you have choices that fit your particular needs. Choose from Abbey Walker Deluxe Motor Coaches, Mini Buses, Vans, and Limousines or Star Shuttle Standard Motor Coaches and Mini Buses. Abbey Walker deluxe vehicles are typically Mercedes metallic blue/silver or back with a deluxe enhanced interior and extra amenities.

My Church contacted Star Shuttle for a quote when we were looking to get some pricing info on transportation to and from student summer camp for June 2016. We received a quote promptly and decided to book with Star after some review of all the quotes we received. We submitted the completed paperwork in the manner which Star said was necessary to book the trip and thought we were finished.
Three weeks later Star calls and says they will not honor their quote or our booking, and offered a new verbal quote that was 2x more expensive, saying the first quote was not calculated correctly. Offering

This was an absolutely awful experience. The driver was incompetent and placed our guests in an unsafe situation. The company was not helpful after we shared our concerns and feedback and made the process painful. Do not use this company's services. You will be extremely unhappy with your experience, please think long and hard before booking with Star Shuttle & Charter.

Good, you're taking a step that someone at my company did not, and you're Yelping before you use a company. Somehow we got in touch with Star Shuttle for transporting our 300+ meeting attendees from/to the airport. What a nightmare. My contact was out of the office twice without telling me or having an out of office reply. One of those times was when I needed to send out confirmations to all the attendees and the other time was the weekend prior to our event. What? You can't just be out of the office and not tell me, especially when I have guests arriving. Then the instructions

I'm not sure if we just lucked out or if Star Shuttle is working to improve their reputation, but we had a great experience with them for our wedding.
We rented the 55 person charter bus to take people to and from our hotel in Oak Hill to our wedding site on a property off of Fitzhugh out in Dripping Springs. The driver was early, got people to site on time, took them back when I had scheduled for it. The bus was fairly new and extremely clean. The driver was polite, professional, and a very good driver (hill country roads are super windy). Definitely worth the expense to not have to worry

I had to use Star Shuttle company just because UT has an agreement with them. I hesitate I do not use Mega bus but them. It was such a big mistake!!
Star Shuttle canceled my bus without any prior notice. I waited for the bus for "an hour and a half", tried to reach anyone, desperately called Star Shuttle and even Prolix but since it was a Sunday morning no one responded. Hello, you can't leave your customers on the road and take no responsibility, if you are a transportation company and if you have a bus which has to take people from somewhere, let those people access you.

Absolutely the worst transportation company on the planet. They deserve negative stars for how awful they handled the entire process. If I could have walked it would have been faster. They lie - 2 hours delay due to "traffic"...not even Southern California would that excuse fly! Delayed wedding by 3 hours and one of the limos for the groomsmen didn't even show up at all. They deserve to be out of business.

More than two hours late, every estimate on time we got they missed. First 7 minutes, 7 minutes later... 12 minutes. 12 minutes later, 30 minutes... 30 minutes later, 15 minutes... 15 minutes later? No longer answering phone calls. This is all after their limo never showed up. This company is not to be trusted.
