For more than a decade we have been dedicated to providing exceptional customer service in the beauty industry. Our team strives to gratify, as well as educate each client that we meet. We continue to grow and succeed through the passion, energy, and skill of our hair and beauty professionals. Feel pampered as our staff makes your visit as accommodating as it should be.
Chris has been a stylist and colorist for over 30 years and has owned Razing Hair since 1997. Before becoming a salon owner Chris was an educator for Paul Mitchell for 5 years. He attended the Sassoon academy and has trained vigorously with Schwarzkopf USA among many other educational classes. Chris believes education breeds success and trains all of his staff to his standards.
As a courtesy to our technicians we request a 24 hr notice when canceling an appointment. Time is a very precious commodity and a late arrival for an appointment may result in an adjustment to your service so that we don't run late for our next guest. Repeated no shows will be charged. A deposit of $100 is required to secure any chemical service requiring an hour or more of appointment time.
As a Razing Hair Salon Style and/or Color Assistant you'll be responsible for providing assistance to hair stylists, cutters and colorists by performing shampoo and conditioning treatments, ensuring equipment is regularly cared for, cleaning and maintaining hair department appearance. You will attend to our guests' needs with impeccable service in accordance with existing service standards.

Amazing salon clean, professional, friendly staff. Chris the owner made me feel like I’ve known him for years. I’m converting from dark brown hair to grey and he gave me a treatment to ease the transition and make it less painful to look in the mirror. It involved numerous steps and a long day at the salon but it was worth every minute and dollar spent there! Thank you to Chris and Nicole for all of your effort I’m ecstatic with the results.I’ll be back for sure.

OMG Mary did the best job. Cut and color was perfect. She listen to what I wanted and did it to a tee. Nicole rinsed out the color and gave the best head and back of the neck massage (which I so needed after a hard week at work.) I was so nervous going in but Mary was so nice and understanding. Definitely gotta go to Razing Hair. AWESOME JOB

After having my mother cut my hair most of my life (not by choice) I had very little trust in anyone near me with a pair of scissors. That all changed when Chris cut my hair. I have never been disappointed or upset with a single cut Chris has given me. He also is a genuinely sweet kind hearted man who cares. I absolutely adore him and love Razing Hair. Won't let anyone but Chris cut my hair now!

I've been going to him for over 25 years. My girls love Jessica and Mary who work there! A beautiful spa atmosphere and alittle pampering go a long way!
Got my eyebrows done yesterday and Denise took her time, and evened them out nicely. Looking forward to their new location down the street in January!!

I love Razing Hair and you will too! The atmosphere is exactly what you look for when you plan "me time" and let's face it... as mothers, working women, stay at home moms and even some men an hour or two at the salon is most likely the only hour or two will you give yourself every few months.
Everyone is so friendly and wonderful, they all take the time to listen and aim to please. From the front desk personnel to ownership, you will be treated more like family than just a client.

In town for my bday weekend, and just decided to try this place based on yelp reviews. I made an appointment same day and got a haircut and style with Susie, she was absolutely fabulous! Def recommend her. All I did was gave her a pic of an idea I wanted and she executed flawlessly, gave my hair style and body it needed! Now I'm ready for my bday! The staff are all fun and welcoming! Will def come back here when I'm in town again!

I took my 10 year old here because she saw they were having a special where she could get pink streaks in her hair as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The outside looks like nothing special, but it is really nice on the inside. I was with my baby and the staff was super nice and kept coming over to ooh and aah over her. I showed my daughter's stylist a picture of the cut she wanted. It came out awesome, the pink streaks look great, my daughter is going to be the coolest tween in the 5th grade tomorrow and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Win/win.

Had an appointment for 2pm. Waited for 20 minutes - no one told me there would be a delay or even acknowledged my presence. Finally, at 2:20 pm hair was washed and I was brought back to the stylists station. She then proceeded to tell me "I'll be right back - I have to check someone's color". Sat there for another 15 minutes with soaking wet hair. I finally just walked out...terrible way to treat a customer of 10 years. A word of advice - don't overbook. Neither my stylist who I have been going to all this time or the owner even had the decency to call and apologize

I booked Chris and Doreen to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and they were incredible! Doreen made me and my family look perfect and Chris styled everyone's hair so beautifully. Chris stayed in my hotel room until we were all ready to go and he even helped lace up my dress! I am so happy I chose them and the salon is AMAZING!

I started going to Sara at Razing Hair after being introduced by my roommate when I moved to New York. She's amazing and knows exactly what I want and more! I've gone from my natural dark hair to blonde and long hair to short..and am so happy with my result every time! Not being from the area, I can't find myself going to anyone else even commuting from the city. I recommend her to all my friends, love her!
