Had a fantastic overnight stay at the Inn, and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone passing through. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessity. Check in was easy. Breakfast was excellent and our waitress was excellent and extremely friendly. Breakfast is included with your stay so you start the morning off right.

I met a friend for lunch. Breakfast is available until 2:00. The food & service are very good. The restaurant is decorated tastefully, in a political fashion. The food is a little more expensive than average. I have not stayed in the inn but it looks as if it would be a nice place to stay based upon the grounds.

Took out of town visitors for breakfast and it was wonderful! Signature Bloody Mary's were delicious, eggs Benedict cooked to perfection, breakfast burrito was great! They were impressed as I knew they would be. Service was super! We walked the gardens after breakfast and everything was so quaint that my friends are considering staying there for their next visit!

I grew up in this little town. I flew in for a family event and was delighted to know that we would have a private setting for our family. The location and ambience were absolutely PERFECT!!! The staff were friendly and professional as well. I however think the food was HORRIBLE especially for the price. I could have definitely went to my local grocery store to its frozen food section and prepared a bigger meal for the price. To take on the title "Kilmarnock Inn" is a huge deal. I was expecting true town staple dishes. The crab cake was terrible and this is a local MUST HAVE....Breakfast didn't

Stayed for two nights in the Madison "cabin" and ate three meals at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was included with the room and the first day's breakfast was pretty standard and got the job done but on the second day I had the best meal of the trip with the croissant french toast and bacon. Was not sure exactly what to expect but it was tasty and the syrup dispenser was a design I've never seen in my nearly 60 years - it poured from the bottom and sat in a container of hot water. Very unique and seemed to work well though our waiter said it could cause a mess for the uninitiated

If you are looking for a very comfortable bed to sleep in you will not go wrong here. Breakfast is included and the breakfast is cooked to order and breakfast is excellent. Nice selection of TV channels but no movie channels. The only thing I don't understand is that they have ROKU smart TVs that you would have to pay for a roku account to get them to work. Why have smart TVS that will not let you mirror or stream in this day and age. That is the reason for taking a full star off. There is nothing worse than being stuck in your room and only regular TV to watch. The reason for a full star deduction

Our stay at the Kilmarnock Inn proved to be very disappointing. We were greeted by the owner when we first arrived, and he was certainly friendly but did not give off great vibes. We were shown to our room and where to park but never asked if we need help with our luggage, something that I would have expected if the Kilmarnock was in fact an upscale Inn. The room really smelled; we were not sure what it was, but it was hard to get past the odor. The air conditioner was noisy, the bed somewhat uncomfortable, and no counterspace at all in the bathroom. The entire Inn just had a dingy and upkept feel

This is the coolest spot ever!!! My eyes were so busy taking in the sweet decor surrounding me. Oh, and the food was fabulous! My husband and I both chose the Eggs Benedict topped with lump crabmeat! A side of red potatoes diced in sweet red peppers mixed and grilled to perfection! A side of fresh berries and a sweet scone served with coffee. I could have stayed in our cozy corner nook, all morning! The entire place here is so comfortable and romantic inside. Want a more casual setting? Bar side option is great for hanging out or the patio has several open or covered areas to dine with equally

I have not eaten there in quite awhile . It was my dads favorite place for Sunday brunch ( which used to require a reservation ). The atmosphere is quietly regal, comfortable seating, quiet . Beautiful restrooms . The bacon was the best I have ever tasted in my life ! I was not able to pry loose the recipe ( trade secret apparently ). Dad always like the little glass of pear port served for dessert. It was a mixture of traditional brunch foods with dinner items . As much as you can eat.
After dad died, I returned with a small group who had come from his funeral. He was remembered by the staff

The Kilmarnock Inn is the finest dining in Kilmarnock and probably the northern neck. Elegant and based on a presidential theme.... very unique for the region. Decor is classy, wait staff friendly, service punctual and attentive, and the meals all freshly prepared. Good wine list and the fresh home made ice creams are delicious. This is a routine visit for us and our entire family looks forward to this experience. O

Disappointing. Supposedly upscale B&B, we stopped in for coffee/dessert after dinner. Wretched service -- astonishing delays getting waited on, taking order, delivering order, processing check. How hard can it be delivering and charging or two coffees and a slice of carrot cake? Maybe staying guests get better treatment.

The Killmarnock Inn is a lovely scene for dining. A bed a breakfast set in a historical home, the feeling on arrival is cozy and welcoming.
Thr brunch menu is full of a variety of choices including meal entrees as well as breakfast selections.
The service was attentive and terrific. The chef even came to greet us. Party of 9 on Christmas eve morning.
CRAB CAKE BENEDICT
A traditional benedict with crab cakes heaped alongside a traditional eggs benedict. Great presentation. Crab was delicious and did not contain fillers. Seasoning was great. Recommend.

You don't have to stay here to eat their fabulous selections. We stopped on Sunday. They were completely full in the inside dining area but had room on their beautiful patio in the garden area. Ceiling fans and shade made for a comfy breakfast of very tasty Shrimp and Grits and their Blue Crab Benedict. Their Bloody Mary "Meal" is not to be missed-all excellent! And the service was exemplary. Walking the gardens and reading about our various Presidents on the placards denoting each guest house was also very enjoyable. We promise to return for their HAPPY HOUR!!!

We reserved their Honeymoon Suite over a week ago...but no one thought to tell us this wasn't a non-smoking room. We open the door walked in to the room and it REEKED of cigar smoke.
So, for $260 a night, you can spend the night in a smoker's bedroom.
Why they didn't tell me this was a smoking room when I rented it is beside me. I would have changed rooms but we drove over an hour and a half to get here and I'd already put my bags in the room.
Total disappointment - this is the 3rd time I've stayed here and it's miserable. I won't be coming back and
