Services
French-Reneker-Associates was founded in 1952 by Donald E. French in Kahoka, Missouri, with the original name of French Engineering. In the early days of Don's practice, he did a great deal of work for counties in Iowa, upgrading their farm-to-market roads. As Don's practice became more and more Iowa-oriented, he moved the practice to Fairfield, Iowa, in 1961.
French-Reneker-Associates is a civil engineering firm located in Fairfield, Iowa. Our firm provides a full range of civil engineering services from preliminary surveys through design and engineering during construction for clients in Iowa and northern Missouri, with most of our clients located in the southeast quadrant of Iowa.
We have a staff of 20 people, including four professional engineers and two professional land surveyors, with a broad range of expertise and experience. We are small enough to be sensitive to your needs, but large enough to be able to solve your problems in a timely, responsive manner. Civil, Transportation, and Environmental Engineering; Construction Related Services; and Land Surveying based in southeast Iowa.
Our mission statement says it all. We respect our employees, their careers, and their futures. Most of our staff have been with French-Reneker for more than 50% of their careers. Through internal and external training, as well as work experience, we provide our staff with a diverse background of knowledge and experiences.
With over 40 restaurants, a 522-seat preforming arts theater, indoor and outdoor pool, newly constructed recreation center, 10 city parks, museums, and more than 30 miles of recreation trails, you'll forget Fairfield is only a town of 10,000 people. Still, with those amenities Fairfield maintains the small town qualities you love.
