Services
Are you looking for a position that will make a difference in the lives of others? Center For Siouxland is a local nonprofit with a mission of helping people, empowering lives and building futures. Pay invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment; distributes signed checks as required.
Protecting the privacy of consumer information held by "financial institutions" is at the heart of the financial privacy provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Modernization Act of 1999. The GLB Act requires companies to give consumers privacy notices that explain the institutions' information-sharing practices.
Our workshops and seminars give you the information you need to take control of your finances. Experienced, qualified credit counselors present hands-on training at our agency, in schools, and at area businesses. Center For Siouxland's Certified Consumer Credit Counselors offer a range of financial literacy workshops.
Center For Siouxland has been approved by the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to provide pre-purchase, post-purchase, and default/foreclosure mortgage counseling. To best serve our clients, we have adopted the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Counseling and Education (NISHCE).
We recognize that some Social Security beneficiaries require assistance in the proper management of their finances. Without help, many persons may not be able to meet their obligations and provide for their basic needs. When a beneficiary has demonstrated an inability to handle their funds and has been determined by the Social Security Administration (SSA) to need assistance, Center For Siouxland's Representative Payee Program is there to help.

Two years ago I hired the Center for Siouxland to be my payee. A half a year into that I got a new job and asked them to make sure I wasn't making too much for my social security benefits. They assured me I was fine. Then in December I got a 700 dollar Christmas bonus. Again they told me not to worry about it. Now I've lost my disability benefits and I owe the government 14,000 dollars. Also, they received notice that my benefits were in jeopardy in Oct of last year and didn't contact me about it until late November. The disability benefits ended on December 1st. Besides all that it seems like

Landlords beware!!! They will promise to send you the money, but only after you have a signed lease (that they approve) from a total psycho!!!!! Stay away!!! Donors, do not give your money here... it is all spent on the high salaries of the administrators... They don't care at all about the people the are supposedly "working for". This entire operation is a fraud and I have reported it to the secretary of state & attorney general for review. Total SCAM!!! They were the "payee" for a "disabled" person that tried to rent an apartment from me. He was totally psychotic and should be in a mental institution
